อีกหนึ่งเกมที่ถูกหยิบนำไปสร้างเป็นอนิเมะกับเกมแอคชั่นผจญภัยสุดคลาสสิกอย่าง Shenmue ที่คราวนี้เป็นการร่วมมือร่วมทุนระหว่าง Crunchyroll เว็บไซต์ Streaming ชื่อดังและ Adult Swim ดังเช่นที่เคยทำมากับ Blade Runner: Black Lotus มาก่อนหน้านี้แล้วนั่นเอง

โดยโปรเจกต์นี้จะได้ตัวคุณ Yu Suzuki ผู้สร้างเกม Shenmue มาเป็น Executive Producer เพื่อควบคุมการสร้าง และมีผู้กำกับคือ Chikara Sakurai ผู้เคยฝากผลงานอนิเมะยอดเยี่ยมอย่าง One Punch Man มาแล้วนั่นเอง โดยซีรีส์นี้จะมีความยาวทั้งหมด 13 ตอนและคาดว่าเนื้อเรื่องจะดำเนินไปจนถึงช่วงครึ่งแรกของเกมทั้งหมด
