ICAO’s goal is to achieve a ‘seamless sky,’ where safety standards and counterterrorism measures can be shared with everyone ensuring that the same standards apply wherever we fly. However, Taiwan is excluded from ICAO meetings and does not receive timely notifications of important new findings. We in the United States will continue to do our part to expand Taiwan’s role on the world stage.
