#throwback to pre-pregnancy, pre-Layla, pre-covid, when life was completely different, commitment and mindset was completely different, this body and body shape of mine feels completely different.
This picture was taken in Sept 2019. It's not even been 2 years, but it really feels like a lifetime ago.
I've been hearing comments about how my IG account is no longer like before. It's true. It's no longer filled with branded goods, OOTDs, perfectly made up and dressed up Sheila. But i am no longer the same person i was before. My priority has changed. My life has changed. And most of all, i like that i am presenting myself in the most authentic and vulnerable way. I dare say, even the products i feature are products that i really use and endorse. I make it a point to understand the brand and i make sure i use the products for at least 2 weeks before i commit to a post. So i know that they really work before i sell it to my audience.
Anyway, talking about how my body feels completely different... I NEED TO GET BACK INTO MY FITNESS ROUTINE. I wanna put an end to my sags (that's happening everywhere). I need my muscles and pre-birth posture back! This breasfeeding posture is making me look like The Hunchback of Notre Dame!
Mommies, no more excuses! Do something today. Even if it's a 15mins walk or a simple stretch. Set a goal, and let's work towards it!

🔥🔥 10 Points in Response to the Prime Minister's "Recovery Plan". Window Dressing Is Not Going To Cut It This Time | Industries Unite
(1) The fact that we have a one-pager after enduring the pandemic for 15months, speaks volumes of the perceived indecisiveness, inefficiency and lack of a cohesive idea on the part of the Government on how and when we are going to come out of this. Contain the pandemic and have a structured economic recovery.. There are too many if's and variables in play for the plan to actually spur the confidence of the #Rakyat.
(2) Weren't we at these levels last year? Unless we have a clear and defined path forward the idea that we will come out of this in September or October 2021, is not convincing; amongst others as the whole plan is entirely based on the accuracy of purported numbers of infected persons and the availability of vaccinations on time. Many analysts have openly stated serious doubts on this.
(3) There are serious doubts about the absolute numbers that the government is resting the substratum of the 'Recovery Plan' on. Limited and variable testing numbers and testings may mean that there are flaws in the absolute numbers being relied upon here. This appears to be supported by the Code-Blue stats.
(4) Where is the tracking data on clusters and contact tracing?
Without this, we are fighting with eyes closed. In any case, most of the cases appear to be asymptomatic, so are the numbers correct?
(5) What if this doesn't work? We simply cannot afford to get it wrong now, the fear is that the projection put forward by you, is not based on any data that has been made available to be scrutinised and verified. Just a blanket wish-list. With the current numbers of new cases and the projection of average positivity rate. With the data, We will be able to see the real numbers (projected forecast) and tabulate a much more concrete plan. However, is the government not doing this because as the numbers are bad? These are serious questions that we have.
(6) Increasing the capacity to vaccinate should be the priority moving forward. Delay and bureaucracy are issues ignored here. Private practitioners who have been inoculating children and adults for decades are not being fully mobilised , these private practitioners, who are by law allowed to vaccinate the public are frustrated by the process of having to register and by trained by a private company #ProtectHealth. The Government's refusal to fully utilise the existing infrastructure of the many #Klinik #Kesihatan and government hospital out-patient facilities, preferring them to mega #PPVs is not optimising the capacity to vaccinate. They have not taken into account that many people especially in the rural areas do not have smart phones or connectivity, yet we insist on deployment of a RM70 million application that has shown itself to crash twice! A manual system was used to great effect in the USA and UK to great effect in simplifying the process and increasing capacity.
(7) The idea of employers being allowed to pay to vaccinate raises the question of allocation of vaccines and a two class system of vaccination process.
(8 ) There is no indication of how and when the vaccination are going to be distributed to the states. Why are we not involving the individual state health apparatus. Surely, they are already set up and are better positioned to roll it out .
(9) Where are the dollars and cents in numbers, in-terms of assistance and Aid to the #public and #businesses to stabilise their economic position for the duration that there are restrictions on movement (#FMCO). Where is the Plan B, in case the targets as stated are not met? What is the plan? Can the government be sure?
(10) Surely a recovery plan should include a plan for Economic Recovery over at least 3 years. If there is One, Where is it?
(11) Do we have an adequate safety net for the public? There is no indication of when people will get back jobs and when, businesses will get back to normal. One cannot assume economically everything will be ok, once we reach October 2021.
It will take many months thereafter to get back to employability and profitability. So whats the plan for that? What are the projections? What are the solutions? What is the plan ?
WE SIMPLY CANNOT AFRORD TO GET THIS WRONG THIS TIME.
PEOPLE ARE DYING. BUSINESSES ARE FOLDING. WE NEED MORE.

你用的是 I, us vs them,還是 "we" and "our"?
What happened?
Changes at Basecamp: https://bit.ly/2SNN6Kr
No more societal and political discussions on our company Basecamp account.
At Basecamp, we treat our company as a product. It's not a rigid thing that exists, it's a flexible, malleable idea that evolves. We aren't stuck with what we have, we can create what we want. Just as we improve products through iteration, we iterate on our company too.
•flexible
•malleable
•evolve
•we can create what we want
•improve products
•iterate
用了一連串正面的同義字,就是要塑造 change = positive 的氣氛。
★★★★★★★★★★★★
Recently, we've made some internal company changes, which, taken in total, collectively feel like a full version change. It deserves an announcement.
而且注意到,他不是寫 "We're making a full version change" 喔,而是說:"changes... taken in total, collectively feel like a full version change."
The way you act sometimes, when people don't know you yet, can feel like you're a bit of an asshole. 或是 You're an asshole.
In the product world, not all changes are enjoyed by all customers. Some changes are immediately appreciated. Some changes take time to steep, settle in, and get acquainted with. And to some, some changes never feel quite right — they may even be deal breakers.
Some changes take time to steep, settle in, and get acquainted with。
Get acquainted with" 就好像跟我們說,
They may even be deal breakers"。
They totally knew what was coming...
★★★★★★★★★★★★
As Huxley offers in The Doors of Perception, "We live together, we act on, and react to, one another; but always and in all circumstances we are by ourselves. The martyrs go hand in hand into the arena; they are crucified alone. Embraced, the lovers desperately try to fuse their insulated ecstasies into a single self-transcendence; in vain. By its very nature every embodied spirit is doomed to suffer and enjoy in solitude."
We're going forward, alone if necessary。
We all want different somethings. Some slightly different, some substantially. Companies, however, must settle the collective difference, pick a point, and navigate towards somewhere, lest they get stuck circling nowhere.
★★★★★★★★★★★★
No More

I've had a reverend in my local electorate say that the 'gay onslaught will start the day this bill is passed.'
So we are struggling to know what the gay onslaught will look like. We don't know if it will come down the Pakaranga highway as a series of troops or whether it will be a gas that flows the electorate and blocks us all in.
I also had a Catholic priest tell me that I was supporting an unnatural act.
I found that interesting coming from someone who has taken an oath of celibacy for his whole life. Celibacy... I haven't done it so I don't know what it's about.
I also had a leader tell me I would burn in the fires of hell for eternity and that was a bad mistake because I've got a degree in physics. I used the thermodynamic laws of physics.
I put in my body weight and my humidity and so on. I assumed the furnace to be at 5000 degrees and I will last for just on 2.1 seconds. It's hardly eternity. What do you think?
I also head some more disgusting claims about adoption. Well, I have got three fantastic adopted kids. I know how good adoption is, and I have found some of the claims just disgraceful.
I found some of the bullying tactics really evil. I gave up being scared of bullies when I was at primary school.
However, a huge amount of the opposition was from moderates, from people who were concerned, who were seriously worried, about what this bill might do to the fabric of our society.
I respect their concern. I respect their worry. They were worried about what it might do to their families and so on.
Let me repeat to them now that all we are doing with this bill is allowing two people who love each other to have that love recognised by way of marriage.
That is all we are doing. We are not declaring nuclear war on a foreign State. We are not bringing a virus in that could wipe out our agricultural sector forever.
We are allowing two people who love each other to have that recognised, and I cannot see what is wrong with that for neither love nor money.
I just cannot. I cannot understand why someone would be opposed. I understand why people do not like what it is that others do. That is fine. We are all in that category.
But
I give a promise to those people who are opposed to this bill right now. I give you a watertight guaranteed promise.
The sun will still rise tomorrow. Your teenage daughter will still argue back to you as if she knows everything.
Your mortgage will not grow. You will not have skin diseases or rashes or toads in your bed.
The world will just carry on.
So do not make this into a big deal.
This bill is fantastic for the people it affects, but for the rest of us, life will go on.
Finally, can I say that one of the messages I had was this bill was the cause of our drought.
Well, if any one you follow my Twitter account, you will see that in the Pakuranga electorate this morning, it was pouring with rain.
We had the most enormous big gay rainbow across my electorate. It has to be a sign. If you are a believer, it is certainly a sign.
Can I finish, for all those who are concerned about this, with a quote from the bible.
It is Deuteronomy. I thought Deuteronomy was a cat out of the musical 'Cats,' but never mind.
The quote is Deuteronomy 1:29.
'Be ye not afraid.'"

My fitness routine is good for those who want to keep fit by doing FUN sports (rather than people trying to do intense workouts to lose weight in a short amount of time...which is not healthy anyway ^^) I think the first step to keeping fit is finding a sport you really enjoy playing. For me, I absolutely love running, swimming, karate and of course, badminton! I find that whenever you play a sport that you love, time flies and before you know it, you'll lose weight naturally and healthily.
Unlike doing specific workouts for your arms or thighs, sports can give you an overall workout which can tone your entire body as a whole! If you want to gain more muscle mass, sports is the way to go. Even if you don't want to want to have bulky muscles, you can just stretch before and after (like I did in this video) to lean out your muscles.
As for myself, I've done karate for a little over 9 years now and I got my black belt last year. The style of karate I do is a branch off of gōjū ryū (剛柔流) called meibukan (明武舘). I've also played badminton basically all my life but I only started playing competitively 4 years ago. I also started swimming competitively (this is not my forte sport but I do enjoy it ^^) 4 years ago as well. To date, I still cannot dive and I just look like a dying elephant cannon balling into the water. I've taken diving lessons before but the coach basically gave up on me. Something about diving just really scares me - I'm shuddering at the thought of diving right now haha. I've never been a competitive runner because I just lightly jog in an attempt to build up my low stamina. I started running long distances the beginning of this Summer. At the beginning of July, I was only able to run 4km max. However, I went running 3 - 4 times a week and now, I can run 6-8km.
Here is how my typical week looks like...
Monday:
Karate (1 hour) + Competitive Badminton Games (3 - 4 hours)
Tuesday:
Running (1 hour)
Wednesday:
Karate (1 hour) + Competitive Badminton Games (3 - 4 hours)
Thursday:
Running (1 hour) + used to do ballet (1 hour)
Friday:
Badminton coaching lessons (1 hour) + leisure badminton (2 hours)
Saturday and Sunday:
My recovery days. You can find me on the couch eating chips and salsa all day haha.
Aside from keeping yourself active, it's also very very important to have a good diet! I try to drink water as much as I can. Sometimes, when I'm not in the mood for water, I go for green tea (or any type of Chinese tea, the type without sugar / cream / milk). Make sure you have a balanced diet with protein and veggies and all that good stuff. I am not knowledgeable in this diet field at all so I would suggest you can find other Youtubers (or a professional) who can provide you with info on how to eat healthy :)
