『 保留第一季的暴力與恐懼元素但失卻精準的故事安排，整體而言缺乏追看動力，Amy一角因設定和演出問題難以將Castle與她引導到成為狼人Logan電影中的父女情程度。
新角John與背後的反派不夠吸引，反而Billy與心理醫生的關系有懸疑味道亦有足夠說服力讓觀眾追隨，可惜與主線不夠關聯而浪費掉。』

在故事上的確被第一季比下來，雖然打鬥 #暴力場面是合格以上，但故事走向沒有必要性，彷佛Frank 只為找籍口回歸殺戮戰場。人物關系未能觸及觀眾情緒，Amy的秘密並不吸引，而兩人後天父女情沒能更進一步，或者如網友說Amy選角如再幻年向一點會比較易代入( #但不排除只是網友蘿莉控幻想?) 。

另一邊Blly Ross 的重生與心理醫生Krista的關系有用心安排和設定伏線但 #未能成功與主線聯系，如果結尾是由Krista設定一個陷阱去將Frank 逼上絕路並將Amy與John線綑綁在一起至使，Bill與Krista一起滅亡會更有效果。

John是Punisher的反面，一個為保護家庭一個為家庭報仇，可惜的是即使有足夠篇幅描寫但仍難吸引觀眾，可能與John和Frank兩人重疊的 既視感有關， 已故事背後中的幕後大老，可以操控美國國會的大家族(或劇組)，#可能在前段已經將資金用盡於僱傭兵身上?，後段只能依靠John一人決戰Frank實在讓人忍不住吐糟。

Karen Page 的出現雖然在故事中沒有任可大推進，不過 #Karen在故事中卻明確表示想和Frank在一起 只要Frank願意放下殺戮並離開，雖然最終都被Frank拒絕但對Fans而言已經足夠震撼！但Karen如果以這方式告別整個系列則更讓人可惜。
#另一位女神 第一集出場的Beth(Alexa Davalos)後段未能回歸更是可惜！如果結局Frank有探望她卻不告而別則更有首尾呼應之效(純粹FF)

このゲームはカプコンが1993年にゲームセンターでリリースした「パニッシャー」を
家庭用に移植したベルトスクロールアクションゲームです。
日本のカプコンが作ったゲームなのに、何で家庭用に移植された際に日本では発売されなかったのか。
それはプレイしたらちょっと解った気がしました。
まず、発売自体が1994年6月で、もう次世代機の発売が迫り
今更メガドライブでゲーセンの移植作が出ても…という世間の空気。
そしてゲームの移植度や完成度とは別に日本で「パニッシャー」の知名度が無かったので
版権を買って日本で発売しても利益が出る程売れないと判断されたのでしょう。
移植度も外注のせいか見た目は似てるのに手応えが微妙で駄作感が強く
そこまで酷く無いけどスーファミで言う「ラッシングビート」の様な残念感満載です。
しかし家庭用でパニッシャーを楽しむにはこの海外のメガドラ版しか無いので
「ゲーセン版パニッシャーがやりたい！」という欲求の5～15％くらいは
解消できるかな…無いよりはマシかな…みたいな感じです。
あースーパーマッスルボマーとかエイリアンvsプレデターとか発売しないかな…
【ベルトスクロールアクションとは？】
簡単に言えば「ファイナルファイト」の様な奥行きの有る横スクロールアクションゲームで、
古くは「くにお君」や「ダブルドラゴン」などが有り、世界中で人気なジャンルだった。
後に歩き回れる範囲が360度全方位になり「デビルメイクライ」の様なゲームに進化し、
純粋な横スクロールのベルトスクロールアクションはほぼ全滅。
たまーに新作が発売されたり過去作がリメイクされたりする事も有るが
基本的にはほぼ無くなってしまった。 今でも濃いアクションゲーマーたちは
ベルトスクロールアクションを愛好し、「ベルトスクロールコレクション出せよ！」と叫び続けている。
ゲーセンでリリースされたベルトスクロールには、まだ家庭用に移植されていない物が多く
今でも「ゼロチーム」「リーグマン」「ナイトスラッシャーズ」「エイリアンvsプレデター」などの
移植を望むユーザーも多く、エミュじゃなく金を払って堂々とプレイしたい！
ゲーセンに有るなら足を運ぶ！ 出来ればオンライン協力プレイ対応で
家庭用で発売してくれ！
と思っている者も少なくないジャンルなのだ。
一番最近発売されたまともなベルトスクロールアクションは「ドラゴンズクラウン」だろう。
