I love formal nights on cruises.
Right from our very first cruise with Royal Caribbean in 2010 that took us around the Baltic Sea (the big girl was just 8 months old then!), we make sure that we always dress up on formal nights. Nothing over the top, but good enough to make us feel good when we take our family portraits. We usually have one taken at the staircase so this was our most recent one onboard Quantum of the Seas, which was also Asher's first ever cruise and he loved every bit of it. My verdict on bringing three kids on a cruise? Well, that was probably one of the best things that happened to us last year and I am looking forward to our next mum-and-kids holiday already.
Yup, and I finally finished writing about our cruise experience and it's taken me a while because there is just so much I wanna share with you mah. Thanks to those who have taken a moment to read it and to those who have not, just hop over (http://www.ahappymum.com/2020/01/royal-caribbean-quantum-of-seas-review.html) and see if anything interests you, yeah?
P.S. Swipe to the last two pics for throwback to a decade ago. #时间都去哪儿了

Many of you have been asking me about our experience so on the blog today, I answer your queries, share my packing list and why we like cruises, bring you on a tour around the ship, introduce the kid-friendly facilities, tell you about the fun activiites we did onboard and give you some tips on how to make your family cruise a pleasant and smooth-sailing one too. Some of you also wrote in to share about your experiences after seeing my IG posts so it's really awesome knowing that many of us share the love for cruises. Yay!
I spent a long time writing this article and I hope it comes in handy for you when you are planning for your next cruise holiday. If you have any questions, just drop me a DM and I will reply as soon as I can, yeah?
Thanks to Royal Caribbean International for having us and for all the fun, laughter and priceless memories created from this absolutely enjoyable vacation. I am sure we will be back again to experience more of your wonders!

3 sporty girls braving the strong winds and scaling up the rocks in the middle of the sea.
I simply love this sight.
Yup, you get to try out rock climbing when you are on board #QuantumoftheSeas and we were so thankful we managed to do it on our third try - it was after a rain on our first two planned sessions and they had to close the wall as it was wet.
I tried it twice too and that is how I totally understand that it is not an easy feat to do. You need lots of armpower, courage and determination in order to reach the summit and that is much easier said than done. Not to mention that the winds are so strong and howling with every step you take which makes the journey tougher.
So while it is very easy to cheer for them from below and even tell them which foot or which hand to place where, it is much harder when you are up there using every ounce of the strength you can summon and just trying your best not to fall.
I saw how my girls got stuck halfway and yet hung on and tried to overcome what was ahead of them. I want them to know that I am proud of them for putting in their best effort even if they did not reach the top. It's already an achievement in itself for the big sister who has a phobia of great heights and for the little sister who did not let her petiteness get in the way but instead tried to leap up and reach for one rock after the other.
Rock climbing is a great way to instill resilience and teach them that it is not always easy to overcome the obstacles in front of you. However, if you do not give up and keep trying, one day you will be able to reach the bell and ring it.
Thankful for this opportunity to learn a valuable life lesson even though we were on holiday enjoying ourselves. Hee.
P.S. Rock climbing activity is included in the cruise package and complimentary for all guests to join in. Kids have to above 6 years old to try. Shoes are provided but if your child has small feet like Ariel, do wear your own covered shoes. Comfortable pants or shorts are advised. Have fun!
