Chinese New Years Family made 溫公南乳齋煲 Vegetarian Claypot. When I was young, this dish generally was way better tasting & smelling in Hong Kong, depending on school of training, but everyone then slacked off for a veggies dish. For this family recipe alone for example, one will prob not discover it outside due to several factors 🎊🎊🤔:
•It carries 黃耳/金耳, on top of 黑木耳 & 雲耳. Former is super expensive these days so restaurants won't put this in the dish at all
•甜竹 A Compressed type of Beancurd product, which was prevalent back in the days. In HK, 越華會 still uses this luckily, but that seems about it
•Fresh Lily Bulbs 鮮百合. 甘肅省蘭州百合 is priced thru the roof these days, as it already was thousands of years ago. Try not to put them into a vegetarian Claypot bowl 😂
•There is another seemingly 'discontinued' 紅白 colorful ingredient, which we used to put into this dish. But somehow just remembered we haven't eaten it since the 19th Century lol 😢
•蠔豉 Dried Oysters. For a Vegetarian recipe, the usage of Oysters is justified by a school of thought or urban legend, that when certain Buddhism practitioners were starving near the sea & couldn't find vegetables to eat.. They were given guidance to put a stick into the water, and whatever clings to it is edible for a vegetarian 😳 There's another version which said it was Mussels 淡菜, which might make more sense considering it's Chinese character peculiarly refers to a '菜 vegetable'. But myths are myths, it's not proven so don't shoot the messenger nor propagate it pls 👲🏻🙆🏻♂️ Better don't write unsubstantiated information as facts to pass it on...

Maybe practicing tons of yoga DOES make you look young? 😇⠀

I’m a very private person.
Although on the surface, over these five years, I’ve put “my life” on Instagram, showing to the public about almost everything, deep down I’m an introvert and I love privacy.
Five years ago, I started this account because of my online fashion select store. Then I became a vegetarian, later into a vegan. Then I started my blog and began to write my journey. Then, yoga meets me at where I am.
Never see myself influencing anything or anyone, after all I’m just a tiny tiny human beings who decided to peruse what she loves doing, and still struggling with lack of self confidence and depression sometimes. It is never my intention to project a “perfect healthy lifestyle”, I only wish to share with you my not very special, but truly unique journey.
I’m a very private person. But somehow sharing my thoughts and feelings here encourages me to let go of things. I see, I feel, I express and I let them go. It just happened my “journaling tools” are photos and words.
I might never be able to “teach” anything, but I’m happy to share with you my story and if you want, with the right timing, we could walk through it together. I’m not perfect, but life isn’t just about perfection. Pretty photos, beautiful feed may be eye catching... However, only true feelings and connection heals.

In this episode, we headed down to The Goodburger at Coronation Plaza to beat an Undefeated 20 x 20 Impossible Burger Challenge! The Goodburger is a food truck that serves up Impossible patty burgers and vegetarian sides like nuggets and fries. Food trucks are already uncommon in Singapore, but one that serves plant-based meat and has an entirely vegetarian menu is particularly unique. They even offer vegan options for their burgers. Completing the challenge within 20 minutes makes the food free, but failure means you have to pay upwards of $100 for the meal. Goodburger has made this an official challenge for the public, so please come down to beat my timing and get a free meal to boot.
For this challenge, all 4 of the burgers that Goodburger offers were carefully skewered into a gigantic tower with each burger supercharged with 5 patties, making it a 20-patty burger. On top of that, onion rings, fries, churros and nuggets were piled around the tower, forming a formidable challenge.
The Impossible burgers were excellent, with the Classic being a standard cheeseburger, Black Tie having truffle aioli and rocket leaves, Happy Days with onion rings and BBQ sauce, and One Night in Bangkok being Thai-inspired with a lemongrass-galangal flavoured sauce. The burgers were indistinguishable from your standard beef burgers in sight, flavour and texture, with the centre of the patties still being pink. I am hard-pressed to think of a beef burger at the same price range that I would consider superior to Goodburger’s burgers. What really brought together the burgers were the special sauces used for each type which elevated the Impossible patties greatly and gave each burger a distinct character.
The sides were decent. I originally thought the nuggets contained meat, but to my surprise it was entirely vegetarian. The onion rings and fries were crisp and well-seasoned although they needed a dipping sauce that I was not offered. The churros had the signature cinnamon-sweet flavour to them that was not overly strong and were appropriately crispy on the outside while chewy in the middle.
I completed the challenge in the nick of time at just under 20 minutes. It was not as easy as I thought it would be and I was also enjoying the challenge a bit too much. The “meat” is entirely plant based and the authentic red beef colour comes from an identical chemical extracted from soy plants. According to Impossible Foods, this alternative uses 95% less land and 85% less water than the equivalent beef production, while still not comprising on taste. Head down to The Goodburger for excellent guilt-free burgers!

A really informative chat with fitness and health expert Ben Siong. For all my sisters, who have always questioned bout why they have irregular periods, why they bloat, why they have painful periods, what's the possible cause for bleeding more than two weeks here's a video that will help explain those questions!
The human body is very complicated and my dear sisters, ours is even more complicated cause we have a thing called the period. Ben is one of the few coaches who takes the time to not only understand the physiology of the body but also the mind which is incredibly crucial. Is this accurate? If so should females generally avoid deadlifts/front squats/lower back intensive exercises during this period? Should they be left out entirely, or replaced by something else?
