“What about the batteries?” I asked - Volvo uses #blockchain technology to track and trace the cobalt it obtains and uses in its electric vehicle batteries, to make the most sustainable choices.
That’s when I fell in love !
This baby is the S60 hybrid car — hybrid meaning it runs on electric and petrol. Running on hybrid reduces greenhouse gas emissions. The batteries are also charged kinetically! During gentle braking with the brake pedal, the car's kinetic energy is converted to electrical energy, which is used to charge the hybrid battery.
Across the next six months I’ll be sharing with you my journey with Volvo. If you have any questions drop them below and I’ll try to answer them in the comments or in my next posts!
(Btw did you know that bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. This makes it particularly suitable as a tool for carbon sequestration (absorbing carbon) compared to other trees, and as a result, has a high ability to mitigate climate change - source: INBAR/ UNEP)

🌻There Are Too Many Defenseless(無防禦性的) Stocks
(可以的話, 我希望您可以好好讀一下這篇文章. 我希望能夠幫您守住些財富, 減少些損失, 甚至創造些獲利. "Too many", 也就代表了股票沒有稀有性)
The underwriters just created too many stocks. There's too many new companies, too many companies that help you with analytics(分析), too many that offer video, too many data collectors and too many real-time analysis, and too many cybersecurity companies. There's been too many new electric vehicle derivatives, too many cannabis (大麻) plays and way too many new fintechs(金融科技).
The effect? We are now facing a bewildering number of companies that simply do the same things and can't be differentiated (無差異性的) and, frankly, are too hard to understand unless you are deeply involved in the transfer of data from on your premises to the cloud(雲端).
Why does this matter?
Because these stocks are defenseless. They are defenseless against inflation (通膨) because so many of them sell at a multiple to sales and any company that trades as a multiple to sales (指的是以P/S為估值方式, 非傳統的P/E. 軟體公司主要是用P/S) will see its value erode more quickly than any other in this stock market because the company has to graduate from a multiple to sales to a multiple of earnings, or just keep losing money. So many new investors have not experienced real inflation where these kinds of stocks can't be given away.
They are defenseless against an economic boom. I have been reading through countless software as a whatever with a go to market strategy and a huge TAM (total addressable market, 指的是市場大小) to land and expand(指的是雲端公司的商業模式), and my eyes glaze over. Who needs a company with all of those buzzwords that's growing at 27% and losing money when I have plenty of high quality industrials that are growing at 27% and spewing cash to the point the biggest issue is how much should be put to growth versus rewarding shareholders.
They are defenseless against older companies with a balanced policy toward dividends and buybacks, so that supply is mopped up while demand is bolstered by a yield. The land and expanders don't have anything backing them up which makes them vulnerable to sudden shocks down as we have seen.
They are defenseless against insider selling. If capital gains rates are going up, these are the companies with the most vulnerable stocks because so many of the people in these new companies have stocks that are still up substantially from when they got stock so a company with a stock down 30%-40% is vulnerable from scads of insider selling, including secondaries I am now expecting with increasing frequency.
They are defenseless against SPACs. While there are many good SPACs there are too many SPACs with too much stock sloshing around. I keep thinking about that MP Materials (MP) secondary offering in late March, where entities controlled by CEO James Litinsky sold 4.6 million shares of his company in a deal priced at $35. Now it is a small percentage of his holdings and many others involved with the company sold small amounts, too. That's not the point. It's more of a statement: this stock traded at $50. You might have been inclined to buy on the pullback but you would have been massacred as the stock is now at $27. If you have a so-called successful SPAC its success might be measured by how much money you took out of it before its stock fell by 50%. There are hundreds of things and when you consider all of the warrants out there, you know this market is going to be overwhelmed with this stuff.
You aren't going to see these kinds of secondaries at Deere (DE) or Caterpillar (CAT) , that's for certain.
Now there are people out there willing to buy the incredibly almost stupidly risky stocks, people like Cathie Wood, who demonstrated her unflappable conviction to her method of buying stocks that worked when there's scarcity value but there's anything but that now.
Maybe she can take down tens of billions of dollars worth and save the day. I wouldn't count on it. I am sorry to question her stock picking, lord knows she's been amazing. But unless others copy her, we know the stocks she is buying resemble what's not working at all. Maybe someday, but not now.
I try to figure out what the end game for these stocks might be if the economy keeps heating up and inflation accelerates. There's simply not enough money from young people or ETFs based on high growth or Cathie Wood to keep these stocks higher, and there's too much opportunity for the insiders to do what MP did, something that crunched the stock even as it reported a quarter ahead of expectations, which meant something at one point but means absolutely nothing now. Nothing at all.

Starbucks
...Continue ReadingNikola, a trillionaire electric truck / by investment man.
In the past few months, we may have seen the news that many companies have been caught corrupt.
Luckin Coffee's accounting cheating, a grown-up coffee shop business explodes more branches than Starbucks.
To Kingold, a Chinese gold trading company in US stock market caught using fake gold for loan.
And recently, another company that was accused of corruption and deceiving the whole world.
That's a Nikola company that claims to produce electric and hydrogen vehicles that many people see have a chance to grow into Tesla's most important competitor, the world's most valuable car company.
Suspicious occurs because the founder of Trevor Milton has announced his sudden resignation after being accused of corruption for only 10 days.
This whole thing is pressure on Nikola company's shares falling from the highest point in June this year. Over 79 %
So what did Nikola do to be suspicious of corruption?
Investment man will tell you about it.

First let's get to know the other important character of this story. That's Hindenburg Research.
This company does a corrupt business. It's going to make huge profit from Short Sell or borrowing shares of companies that are likely to be pre-sell.
Back to the beginning of this year, Muddy Waters Research was one of the corrupted companies who took huge profit from Short Sell after they caught Luckin Coffee cheating on their record of over-sales.
Hindenburg Research has Short Sell, Nikola Stocks, and has published a 76 page long report to show proof that Nikola is running a world-wide business.
Nikola was founded in 2014 with a mission to build automotive, polluting with electric battery technology with hydrogen from the company's research and development.
With clean energy the world's investment theme, including seniors like Tesla, can achieve huge success to the value of increasingly becoming the world's most valuable car company.
Nikola is easy to earn credibility and magnetism. Investors are attracted to fundraising quickly. Fast to the Stock Exchange. After only 6 years of business.
So how much does Nikola earn now?
If we come to see the results of Nikola company.
First 6 months, year 2019 Income 4 million baht. Lost 1,477 million baht.
First 6 months, year 2020 Income 3 million baht. Lost 4,198 million baht.
Interesting is Nikola's income we see coming from another business.
Because the company actually has income from selling automotive is 0 baht..
And this is because Nikola hasn't sold a car yet because the company can't produce a really viable car. Only the prototype is still under the testing. Expected to start manufacturing by 2021
Although Nikola hasn't sold any cars yet, you know that Nikola has reached 1.1 trillion baht more than Ford, the company that sold 5.5 million cars in the past year.
Such value is the expectation of investors who believe in electric and hydrogen battery technology that can make Nikola a blast. No different than Tesla can do.
But it seems like none of these things are true..
One of the key points Hindenburg Research accuses Nikola is that this company doesn't have its own technology, but only hires other manufacturers to produce.
By some reports, Nikola has gone to order inverter, an electric truck component from Cascadia.
But after Nikola took the car out, the company claimed that the inverter was a technology manufactured by the black tape to close the Cascadia brand..
And the latest case Nikola just announced to redeem 11 % of his own company's shares in exchange for hiring GM to produce a car.
There are many investors starting to see that Nikola's technology used to produce is almost from all GM.
Apart from technology that the company is accused of
Over the time, Trevor Milton, the founder of the company, has been suspicious. Changing the launch of the model car to be manufactured into a show of just a running model car. Plus, open for the reservation to pull money into the company.
And recently after Nikola was attacked by Hindenburg Research company.
Instead, the founder of a company like Trevor Milton brought evidence to confirm transparency and confidence that the company was in the right direction, but he announced his resignation almost immediately..
The story of Trevor Milton has been linked to Elizabeth Holmes, the former owner of a single drop of blood startup, changed the world Theranos who haunted the world a few years ago.
Nikola used to have a company worth of 1.1 trillion baht after entering the stock market successfully within a month.
But today, the company's value has fallen to 2.3 billion Baht. It's a 79 % fall.
Which if Hindenburg Research reports are true.
Worth 2.3 hundred thousand baht. It should be too much.
Because the true value of this company may just be emptiness..

Electric athlete in the successful format of the GLA:
EQA is the name of the new entry-level model to the all-electric world of Mercedes-EQ vehicles. The dynamic design of its SUV body is an indicator of the driving enjoyment to be found on board. Offering an excellent compromise between performance, costs and time to market, the EQA is the first all-electric member of the compact car vehicle from Mercedes-Benz. A close relation of the GLA, it delivers all the thrilling characteristics of that vehicle, combined in this case with an efficient electric power train. Prices in Germany start at 47,540.50 euros[1].
Efficient driving pleasure:
The EQA is being launched as the EQA 250 (combined electrical consumption: 15.7 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km) with 140 kW and a range according to NEDC of 486 kilometres[2][3][4]. Further variants to meet specific customer requirements will follow. These will include on the one hand a series of even more athletic all-wheel-drive models with an additional electric powertrain (eATS) and an output of 200 kW or more, and on the other hand a version with a range of more than 500 kilometres (WLTP)4. Mercedes-EQ sees the key to a bigger range not in ever-larger batteries, but in systematic improvement in the efficiency of all vehicle components.
Automatic anticipatory driving:
Navigation with Electric Intelligence calculates as a matter of course the route that will get you to your destination fastest, taking into account charging times, thus taking the stress out of route planning for the driver. On the basis of continual range simulations, the system makes allowance for any necessary charging stops as well as for numerous other factors, such as the topography and the weather. It is also able to react dynamically to changes, for instance in the traffic situation or personal driving style.
Convenient charging and payment:
With Mercedes me Charge, customers have access to what is currently the world's biggest charging network: this currently comprises more than 450,000 AC and DC charging points across 31 countries. Mercedes me Charge allows customers convenient use of the charging stations of various providers, even when travelling abroad. By registering just once, they can benefit from an integrated payment function with a simple billing process.
Green Charging:
Mercedes me Charge enables customers to charge at more than 175,000 public charging points throughout Europe; Mercedes-Benz ensures a subsequent offset with green power.

Hi guys, so today I thought I would share with you all what life is like on a Gogoro S3. In case you guys have never heard of Gogoro, they are basically the Tesla equivalent of Taiwan, and their electric scooters.
I am an electric vehicle enthusiast myself, but I can't help but think a full-blown Tesla is both very expensive, but also very cumbersome. Here in Taiwan, if you buy an electric vehicle, you must also rent or purchase a parking space for it outside of your usual rent for your apartment.
If you guys are electric scooter or electric motorcycles enthusiasts, be sure to drop me a comment or two if you guys want to see more reviews of electric vehicles like these!

Why lug your bag around with you if you bag can lug you around? This thing is ridiculously fun and gets so many looks and questions wherever you go! So how does it work? What's it like riding around the city on one of these? Flying on a plane? And well how does this whacky luggage scooter / electric vehicle work?
Rolling suitcases were invented in 1970, when Bernard D. Sadow applied for a patent that was granted in 1972 as United States patent 3,653,474 for "Rolling Luggage". The patent application cited the increase in air travel, and "baggage handling [having] become perhaps the single biggest difficulty encountered by an air passenger", as background of the invention. Sadow's four-wheeled suitcases, pulled using a loose strap, were later surpassed in popularity by rollaboards, suitcases that feature two wheels and are pulled in an upright position using a long handle, and were invented in 1987 by US pilot Robert Plath.
Sadow attributes the late invention of luggage on wheels to a "macho thing" where "men would not accept suitcases with wheels". Others attribute the late invention to "the abundance of luggage porters with carts in the 1960s, the ease of curbside drop-offs at much smaller airports and the heavy iron casters then available."
Passengers are allowed to carry a limited number of smaller bags with them in the vehicle, these are known as hand luggage (more commonly referred to as carry-on in North America), and contain valuables and items needed during the journey. There is normally storage space provided for hand luggage, either under seating, or in overhead lockers. Trains often have luggage racks at the ends of the carriage near the doors, or above the seats if there are compartments. There are differing views between North America and Europe in relation to the rules concerning the amount of baggage carried on to aircraft. In North America there is considerable debate as to whether passengers carry too many bags on board and that their weight could be a risk to other passengers and flight safety. US airlines are beginning to introduce weight and size restrictions for carry-on baggage. Whereas in Europe, many airlines, especially low-cost airlines, impose what is commonly known as "the one-bag rule". This is a restriction imposed to stop excessive weight on board and airlines claim that this policy allows them to speed the boarding of the aircraft. Airports in Europe have mounted a campaign with the European Commission in an attempt to overturn these hand luggage regulations. They claim that it is affecting their duty-free and other airport retail sales and is reducing their revenues.
