Sum up for both events on yesterday, raced at University of Malaya, SUKMUM 2015 (Local Inter-Residential College Track Meets) representing 5th Residential College. I took part in 5,000m and 1,500m event.
Timing will be like this;
SUKMUM, 19th Dec 2015
1. 5,000m - 17:04 min (1st placing - Broke my previous record in the same race SUKMUM 2014, 17:48 min)
(Rest 4 hour in between)
2. 1,500m - 4:29.9 min (1st placing - Didn't able to break the previous record, 4:27.8 min)
Last year during my first year in University of Malaya, I took part in 5,000m and 3,000m Steeplechase in order to break the record. I owned both the record after that with 17:48 min for 5,000m and 11:07 min for 3,000m Steeplechase.
This year I came back to renew my 5,000m record and trying to own the 1,500m record. Turned out that I able to renew the 5,000m record again with 17:04 min but not for 1,500m which just 2.2 sec away. Quite disappointed that I didn't able to break both record like last year. There is a good news, that the 3,000m Steeplechase record is still mine, which I made it last year.
Next year definitely will be back for 5,000m to renew it again and 1,500m trying to break again until I own the 1,500m record.
*I missed my personal record for 1,500m this year by 0.1 second which is 4:29.8 min at Hong Kong, in June 2015.
*I have increased my cadence in 5,000m for up to 7 steps per minute from previous 166 spm average, now 173 spm average with the same stride length, 1.73m per steps. Need to increase to 180 spm in the future.
*For the 1,500m, I have increased the cadence to average of 176 spm from 169 spm previously in Hong Kong but reduce in stride rate from 2.03m to 1.96m per steps.
I have also put in my track records for the same event when I was racing in Hong Kong, last June, 4 months ago.
Thanks to all my sponsorship especially from Garmin Malaysia, that enable me to track my record at all time, analyze and compared the race also to help in finding out my mistake whether I am going too fast at the beginning and all the little things like cadence, stride length, split time and so on.
Thanks to other sponsorship as well like LifelineID, VictoryAthletesMalaysia, Actigin.

Mission of the day accomplished !
-Completed the Bleep Test at Level 14, Shuttle 12. (Previous was Level 13, Shuttle 10)
-15 reps of 400s at 74-78 sec, 1 min rest.
Did a bleep test just now at 5.30pm and heavy rain came to me during halfway. Do it on the track, and slippery when I make a u-turn every time in between the 20m. Finished it with Level 14, Shuttle 12, almost hit Level 15, just a shuttle to go.
Then have some rest for about 20 minutes and went for warm up again for the tough track workout today. Was planning to do just 5 reps of 400m at the beginning instead of 15 reps which is what I suppose to do due to mental always think of tiring.
And so started off to the 1st reps. Came back at 77.8 sec. Rest for a minute to catch some breath and went again for 2nd reps. Came back at 78.8 sec. Body feels good and continue it. 3rd reps till 14th reps came back at - 75.1, 77.6, 75.1, 76.2, 77.0, 74.0, 75.2, 76.2, 74.9, 75.5, 74.6, 77.4. Last reps try to push at the last 100m and came back at 72.0 sec.
So happy to complete the workout alone ! The happiness after did the 15th reps !
Thanks to my sponsor, Actigin ! It did increase the high intensity endurance performance, also increase glycogen recovery ! Can really feel the difference after started to use it !
