Best part of my work is that I can be anywhere as long as my work is completed. I work as a hr consultant (supporting 3 companies that kind enough to allow me to work on remote), business development manager for #AjaibMarketing and also a blogger for illyariffin.com nothing just falls on my lap.

I remember my first corporate work as a reception girl, I have a humble begining and i remember wrapping present at gift shop (memory lane, anyone work there before?) right after my spm. I also remember those days where I used to be an usherer at a night club while I was studying in uni. I remember waking up at 6 am taking lrt to work and then go to teach tuition right after from 8pm till 10pm. I remember spending my weekend teaching tuition.

I am grateful for internet, google hang-out, whatsapp and all the light laptop we have currently 😂 it allows me to spend more time with my family 🙏💗

Mari Mari Island mornings were one of the finest island mornings I've ever experienced. The island offers day tours from 9 am to 3 pm every day, but the best part is that it gets completely empty after that, so you basically have the whole island to yourself! 😍
.
There is just one resort called Mari Mari Island Lodge managed by @riverbugasia on the whole island with a few huts that offer really mesmerising views of the sea, offering the perfectly slow & calm island life. And oh my my, it was one of the best decision to go there and wake up to monkeys in the balcony, have clear skies in the mornings and windy weather in the evenings, meet fellow animals of the planet, and swim, kayak and snorkel in the calm sea 🏖
.
Though I got a bit panicked when I saw a couple of monitor lizards there, but as I soon as I got comfortable with those, a cute little snake popped up in my balcony. Turns out it was highly poisonous Borneo pit viper, oops! Not so cuter after all haha. 🐍
.
But, if given an opportunity to experience it all again, I would be the first one ready to scare myself haha. 👻
.
So here are the things I loved the most about Mari Mari Island:
👉 Beautiful and clean beach
👉 Less touristic (except 9 to 3)
👉 In the heart of nature
👉 Super friendly people at the resort
👉 Lots of activities to do in the day, such as Kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling
👉 Calm, soothing, slow-paced vibe

We saw a crocodile beside out boat haha!! Had such an amazing jungle adventure at Kinabatangan River, Sabah. More will be on the blog soon.
