🌟🌟 The 🦐 Sambal Tumis Prawns with Petai Stinky Sato beans HKD $158, is by far the best version I have eaten in Hong Kong. The 'Petai beans' were refreshing yet smelly, pungent, u can still feel it as u visit the washroom afterwards like a good old organic Green Asparagus 😷🤣🤣
🌟🌟 Ayam Buah Keluak 🐔 $168, is also super well done here 😍😍😍. Full of fragrance & layerings, the Indonesian black nut depth was addictive, u can also almost taste the Bay Leaf 🍃 in the background & Kaffir Lime leaves refreshing zing. The only reason why I didn't give this 3 🌟🌟🌟 is because even though I have lived in Malaysia b4, I wonder how other natives from Singapore or Malaysia, Indonesia would rate this to their knowledge 😋
🌟🌟 Beef Rendang $148. The Drier type, again, relatively speaking this is probably the best or Top 2-3 I have ever eaten in Hong Kong. Having said that? I have had better in S.E.A & some Indonesian shops in HK also make a killer version just different, but it will be hard to judge unless u compare side by side in a blind taste
🔸Nyonya Fish Head Curry 娘惹咖哩魚頭 $388. This is one dish I don't know how to rate. Using a 白花魚 here. The Curry gravy 🥘 is flavorful by itself. Yet my exposure to this dish is usually towards the Malaysian-Indian versions, which can be freakishly spicy sometimes rather than mild here, especially when I am used to eating some in East Malaysia side 🇲🇾 more. So I am not sure if I know enough about their diff varieties to gauge, but I feel like the Curry can infiltrate into the fish flesh even more, or perhaps because it is prepared artisanally here it's fresher, but ideally sometimes it works better when after storing overnight ! 😬
