My Australian Avocado Smoothie is the best way to kickstart your day! If you’re in a rush but still want a healthy option, grab some of these Australian avocados from the grocers and try this easy and delicious recipe!
This smoothie contains heart-healthy monounsaturated fats from Australian Avocados and is high in nutrients and fibre which supports good gut health.

Ingredients:
1 ripe Australian avocado (half used in smoothie, half sliced for topping)
½ cup coarsely chopped kale
½ cup blueberries
¼ cup coarsely chopped coconut meat
1 cup coconut water
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder
A pinch of black pepper
Instructions:
1) In a blender jar, using the smoothie or ice crush setting, add the avocado, kale, blueberries, coconut meat, coconut water, lemon juice, turmeric powder and black pepper in. Blend until smooth.
2) Pour out the smoothie onto a bowl and top with sliced of avocados.
It's that simple!

Detoxes. I’m pretty sure there isn’t a more hotly debated topic when it comes to health and fat loss. 💩
While some camps claim that detoxes are the ultimate panacea for fat loss (and anyone who does is, well, a liar), others will get a little snarky, claiming we have our own built in detox system just by having a liver.

And while that’s certainly true, it doesn’t mean our livers and other detox organs can’t use a little bit of love to make the process run more efficiently. Cause the truth is, we are exposed to numerous insults on the daily that can wreak havoc on our hormones, digestion, skin, and even our ability to lose fat effectively.

When you think of the word detox, images of fit teas, juice fasts, and magic pills may come to mind. But that’s the overhead bullshit that’s doing nothing more than compromising your health and draining your bank account.

But there are ways to detox your body naturally and effectively, that won’t have you feeling deprived and living off of juice for a week.

One of the best ways to support your liver, kidneys, skin, gut, and lungs (all of which help with detoxification) is to reduce your exposure to toxins in the first place. While it’s impossible to avoid them all, you can make an effort to eat more nutrient dense foods, choosing organic options when possible, limiting your use of plastic products, and switching from toxic personal care products (makeup, shampoos, lotions, household cleaners, etc) to more natural alternatives.
