Crypto Wallet แม้จะแปลภาษาไทยตรงตัวว่า “กระเป๋าเงินคริปโทเคอร์เรนซี”
แต่มันไม่ได้มีลักษณะเดียวกันกับกระเป๋าเงินที่เราใช้เก็บธนบัตรหรือเก็บเหรียญเลย

หากเทียบให้เห็นชัด Crypto Wallet ในที่นี้จะเหมือนกับ “กุญแจ” สำหรับเข้าถึงตู้เซฟมากกว่า
โดย Crypto Wallet ก็เรียกได้ว่าเป็นตัวกลางที่ทำให้เราสามารถเข้าไปดูข้อมูลและทำธุรกรรมในบัญชีที่จัดเก็บคริปโทเคอร์เรนซีบนบล็อกเชนได้ นั่นเอง

ซึ่ง Crypto Wallet ประกอบไปด้วย 2 กุญแจ คือ Public Key และ Private Key
โดยทั้งสองประเภท จะเป็นชุดรหัสตัวเลขไม่ซ้ำกัน โดยแต่ละกุญแจก็มีหน้าที่แตกต่างกัน

Public Key หรือ Address เปรียบเสมือนเลขที่บัญชีธนาคารของเรา
โดยเราสามารถให้ Public Key กับคนอื่น
เพื่อที่อีกฝั่งสามารถโอนเงินมาสู่บัญชีของเราได้ถูกต้อง

Private Key ก็ตรงตามชื่อ กุญแจส่วนตัว
โดยเราจะรู้ได้เพียงแค่คนเดียวเท่านั้น
เพราะมันเปรียบเสมือนรหัสผ่านเข้าบัญชีธนาคารของเรา

ปกติ Private Key จะมีหน้าตาเป็นรหัสยาว ๆ จำยาก น้อยคนที่จะจำได้ เช่น 6bc87f0al58de02e32qc8o35 ส่งผลให้การนำไปใช้งานเป็นเรื่องที่ยาก

ปัจจุบัน จึงได้เกิดเทคนิคใหม่ในการเปลี่ยน Private Key ให้เป็นคำศัพท์ต่อ ๆ กันอย่างน้อย 12 คำ เพื่อที่ผู้ใช้งานจำได้ง่ายขึ้นและไม่ง่ายเกินไปจนคนอื่นเดารหัสได้ถูกต้อง สิ่งนี้เรียกว่า “Seed Phrase” นั่นเอง

ตัวอย่างเช่น dog apple egg rain smile big eye friend you king boy love

ซึ่งหากมีใครรู้เลข Private Key ของเรา ไม่ว่าใครก็ตาม เขาคนนั้นก็จะสามารถเข้ามาทำธุรกรรมบนบัญชีเราได้

หรือหากเราลืมรหัสเสียเอง คริปโทเคอร์เรนซีที่เก็บไว้ก็จะหายไปในระบบตลอดกาล ไม่สามารถกู้รหัสผ่านเหมือนบัญชีธนาคารได้ เพราะมีเราเพียงคนเดียวเท่านั้นที่รู้

ดังนั้นการดูแล Private Key จึงเป็นเรื่องที่สำคัญมาก สำหรับคนที่ลงทุนในวงการคริปโทเคอร์เรนซี

เรื่องทั้งหมดนี้ทำให้ ในปัจจุบันเกิด Crypto Wallet หลากหลายรูปแบบ เพื่อตอบสนองการใช้งานต่อนักลงทุนที่ต้องการแตกต่างกัน

โดย Crypto Wallet จะแบ่งเป็น 2 ประเภทหลัก ๆ คือ Hot Wallet และ Cold Wallet

เริ่มกันที่ “Hot Wallet” คือ Wallet ที่เชื่อมต่อกับอินเทอร์เน็ตเกือบตลอดเวลา
ข้อดีคือ สะดวกต่อการใช้งาน จึงเหมาะกับกลุ่มเทรดเดอร์ที่ต้องเทรดอยู่บ่อยครั้ง
และยังเหมาะแก่การเก็บคริปโทเคอร์เรนซีจำนวนน้อย

แต่เมื่อเชื่อมต่อกับอินเทอร์เน็ต ก็จะมีความเสี่ยงจากการโดนแฮกตามมา รวมถึงไวรัสและมัลแวร์ต่าง ๆ

Hot Wallet ที่นักลงทุนนิยมใช้กันคือ Web Wallet หรือ Wallet บนเว็บไซต์เทรดคริปโทเคอร์เรนซีทั่วไป
เช่น Bitkub, Binance, Zipmex และ Upbit

โดย Private Key ของเรา จะถูกดูแลโดยเว็บไซต์ที่ให้บริการ
เราเพียงแค่มี Username และรหัสผ่านของเว็บไซต์นั้นก็สามารถใช้งานได้เลย

จึงเป็นที่มาของคำว่า “Not Your Keys, Not Your Coins”

ดังนั้นหากใครเลือกใช้ Desktop Wallet จึงจำเป็นต้องเตรียมพร้อม Back Up ข้อมูลคอมพิวเตอร์อยู่ตลอด

ตัวอย่าง Hot Wallet ที่ให้บริการทั้งบนคอมพิวเตอร์และโทรศัพท์ เช่น Atomic Wallet, BitPay และ Exodus

และหาก Wallet ทั้งหมดที่กล่าวมา ยังไม่สามารถตอบโจทย์ความปลอดภัยได้เพียงพอ

สำหรับรูปแบบสุดท้ายของ Cold Wallet ก็คือ “กระดาษ”
คนที่ใช้วิธีนี้ส่วนใหญ่มักพิมพ์ Public Key และ Private Key ในรูปของ QR Code

ต้องมีความมั่นใจระดับหนึ่งว่า จะสามารถดูแลรักษา Wallet ได้
