Couldn't beat the heat today unfortunately and I bonked on the run leg, leaving me feeling super super bummed. The heat was over 40 degree Celsius and it was my first time running in such insane temperatures. •
I was actually feeling happy cause I clocked 2:44 for my bike leg, a PB, with my beautiful Queen Bitch, but the minute my legs hit the burning tarmac I couldn't feel any strength left in them. •
To prevent heat exhaustion, I made sure I kept hydrated and kept pouring water over myself to stay as cool as I can. And then I think I drank too much water so I got stitches in the last 6km and had to walk-run-walk-run. Oops. •
And honestly at some points I really wanted to go home because it was so painful. But I forced myself to finish the run, no matter how slowly I go. •
No PB for me today, but lots of learning lessons and I'm glad I finished it. Thank you for the love guys - I'll work harder and do better next time. 😘😘😘 #im703vietnam #cheryltayworksout
