Trip ke NYC. 🇺🇸 Ongkosnya, 14 hari untuk dua orang total dalam RM13,000++.
Visa: RM660 x 2 = RM1,320 kalau tak silap
Flight: RM3k+ x 2 = RM6k+
Ground: RM5.5k untuk dua orang including silap percaturan. Kalau plan betul2 memang lagi kurang daripada ni.
Tempat menarik:
Brooklyn
Manhattan
Staten Island (Statue of Liberty)
Museum
Central Park
Times Square
Rockefeller Center
Brooklyn Bridge
Manhattan Bridge
Grand Central Terminal
Memorial Park
Walmart
Raw ingredients
Accommodation
Food hunting
Wolfgang puck
Flight ke Buffalo
Niagara Falls (tapi tiket burn sebab pergi waktu winter, keliling semua beku)
Note: Ada certain yang berbayar macam Madamme Tussaud, Empire State Building
Banyak lagi tempat pergi selain list di atas. Duit pula banyak habis ke makanan, makan mewah2 and banyak habis kat Buffalo and Niagara Falls.
Habis dekat RM2k katanya sebab tak study waktu winter kat Niagara Falls. So pengajaran dia, jangan pergi Niagara Falls waktu winter, memang tak boleh buat apa pun selain amik gambar kat tepi2 tu je and tourist centre untuk history Niagara Falls ni.
Banyak pergi tempat2 yang free dan ada banyak lagi tempat2 menarik kat NYC ni. Google je. Bersepah tempat2 menarik yang free je sebab bandar ni memang dah terkenal. Semua ada dalam google.
Boleh Google key word hidden gem in NYC, Famous attraction in New York, etc. Semasa pergi tu winter so memang tak berpeluh.
Sekian.

Go to https://buyraycon.com/xiaomanyc for 15% off your order! Brought to you by Raycon. The U.S. State Department’s Foreign Service Institute ranks Arabic as one of the top 4 most difficult languages to learn for English speakers right up there with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Plus every Arabic-speaking country has its own very different dialect of Arabic, making it even harder to learn. So recently I accepted the challenge and spent 16 hours learning a colloquial form of Gulf Arabic with a Sudanese Dubaian tutor, and then I hit the streets of New York City’s Arabic neighborhoods which contain Arabic speakers from all over the Middle East. This video is the first time I’ve ever tried speaking Arabic with people in real life, and it was an incredible experience exploring these Arabic markets and restaurants in NYC and chatting with locals. If you’d like to check out some of the markets and restaurants featured in the video, some of my favorites are:

The first 1000 people to click the link will get a free trial of Skillshare’s Premium Membership: https://skl.sh/xiaomanyc11201 So this week I tipped $5,000 at some of my absolute favorite Chinese takeout spots in New York City. The whole restaurant industry in New York City has been devastated by COVID and Chinese restaurants have been particularly hard-hit. So I wanted to give them a nice tip to show them how much we love and support them here at Xiaomanyc! Especially because it's Chinese New Year and it's a perfect time to give these restaurants some nice red envelopes. If you would like to get out there and support these NYC restaurants yourself, here are links to their pages on Yelp. Most are located in NYC’s Manhattan Chinatown. They are all awesome and highly recommended!

Today I went into Chinese Latino restaurants and ordered in Chinese and Spanish simultaneously. They were totally shocked! This is a rare type of restaurant in NYC combining cuisine from both China and Latin America, run by Chinese people who immigrated to or grew up in Spanish-speaking countries. They speak fluent Spanish, English, and usually Cantonese or Mandarin as well. There used to be a strong Cuban Chinese restaurant scene in NYC, but those restaurants are almost nonexistent now -- however, there are still several other Chinese Latino restaurants in NYC. The ones I visited include:
La Dinastia
145 W 72nd St
New York, NY 10023
Caridad China
108 Graham Ave
Brooklyn, NY 11206
New Apolo
508 Grand St
Brooklyn, NY 11211
This was a really fun prank and social experiment but make sure to actually check the restaurants out!

Learning Spanish through Stories?
The course I used initially to give me a good foundation in Spanish was called “Spanish Uncovered” by the polyglot Olly Richards, which is a way to learn Spanish naturally through stories. I really enjoyed it, and it seems to be an excellent way to get a good foundation in a new language. http://bit.ly/3pPB0we
