@kuchingfoodaid is a community lead initiative of volunteers with the aim of helping people in Sarawak who are suffering from food insecurity.
The pandemic has proven to hurt the most vulnerable in our society and with your help we hope to lessen the burden by providing food essentials to those who have been brave enough to come forward. The stigma that you are not doing okay is real and we hope to help as many as we can who have had to swollow their pride and speak the truth. It cost us RM50 to help feed a family of up to four people for a week.
With ongoing lock downs we have partnered with local and rural supermarkets who have volunteered their time to pack the aid. Many have offered us charity rates so we get a good deal. When you buy aid directly we collect it weekly and send it to vetted and listed recipients.
The registered association fund is another way to donated. No amount is too small. RM5 is all it takes for us to buy 2L of cooking oil. We use direct donations to buy aid in rural areas as well as bulk buy rice, eggs and oil at charity rates. You can donate directly here:
