Hey guys, some of you asked me about the ingredients in my “superfood smoothie” that I posted in my stories. So here it is 🙌🏻:
Chia seeds, maca powder, spirulina, raw cacao powder, acai powder, brown rice protein, goji berries powder (or dried), flax seeds, coconut water & coconut milk.
I make a huge batch and mix several spoons with coconut water & coconut milk every morning. Super convenient. The recipe always changes depending on what I need. This one is def a favourite 💯.
I made a video on YouTube awhile back which include the benefits of each ingredient, & the measurements.

I remember posting bits and pieces of this place because I didn't have time to compiled the videos. Here's one of the newest place in town (ok as of this date now , it may not be the newest anymore, LOL) that I've visited few months back and it's one that is filled with gorgeous lush and lovely space. Most importantly, specially only selling cacao related . Which is great because then more people will be educated on this produce and how and what cacaos are all about. I'm very into cacao mostly because our country produces it but has never quite gotten the lime light and attention, and there's so much benefits of cacao that is often being neglected because they are un-glam.
Here you see they introduce cacao tea, which essentially is very similar to cascara. Cacao tea is brewed using cacao husk and you can mildly taste the aroma of remaining cacao fragrant, with a light sweet finishing.
The husk of cacao beans (that's the seed of cacao fruit), is what's being removed before the seed goes into the next step of process before you get your chocolate.
I guess sustainable practice also includes fully using every part before it goes to becoming waste. So whoever first steep the husk in hot water, please give him or her a standing ovation for contributing to #zerowaste.

This is a fun episode that I decided to shoot! A lot of people ask what I have in my morning shake. I sometimes mix up what I put in my shake but these are the rough ingredients that are in there. I go into basic details of way I put them into the shakes and the benefits of each ingredient. I would love to hear how you guys make your shakes in the morning!
The ingredients are:
1.5 cups of water
Ice
Kale Power 1.5 table spoons
Acai berry Power 1 Table Spoon
Cacao Powder 1 tablespoon
Blueberries
Strawberries
Cinnamon
Vegan Protein

Brewing Method:
1 teabag + 1 cup of water at 80° - 85°C/ 176° - 185°F
(you don't want to burn the leaves / flowers)
Steep for 3 to 5 minutes and enjoy
Things to remember:
- Each teabag can be steeped 1 – 2 times
- For best results, drink 1 – 2 cups every day
- You may sweeten with a little bit of raw honey, maple syrup or rock sugar
- Do NOT add milk!
Each recipe makes between 20 - 24 sachets
(about 2 tsps. of tea mixture per sachet)
p/s Tea bags can easily be bought from any supermarket / daiso / pound shop / online or you can even make your own with using cheesecloth or muslin.
