Couldn’t resist. I saw this little streetside vendor selling freshly made soy milk and “fan tuan” 飯糰 rice balls, a staple in Taiwanese breakfast. Memories of trips to Taiwan was I was young flooded in and I just had to get one (with a side of the hot soy milk 🥛of course! 😋 ). Fan tuan is a sticky rice ball filled w/ a fried crueller 油條pork floss 肉鬆 & salted cabbage鹹菜. Soooo good. (Though my mom told me “it’s supposed to be football 🏈 shaped”.) Is she right? It’s been too long since I’ve had a Taiwan version.
