It's been nearly a decade since we tied the knot and held our beach themed ROM in a chalet where I wore a casual dress and you had on a short sleeved shirt, capris and even slippers lor. Very simple, very down to earth, very us.
We were surrounded by good friends and loving family members, lots of origami cranes, a self painted banner, a 3D puzzle of Eiffel Tower as our ring holder, a photo gallery of the places we've travelled and how our love story unfolded, polariods with handwritten wishes from our guests, a beautiful caricature of us at the beach, our wedding album titled "Our Fairytale Love" and how it was to be continued.
10 years later, this fairytale love is still going strong and our story has three lovely characters added to it. Yup, three adorable darlings who turn our world upside down yet we can't imagine life without them. Sure, gone are the days where we can party all night long without a care in the world. But, becoming Mum and Dad is probably the best part of our story because while it presents us with unprecedented challenges, it also gives us unparalleled joy.
I'm hoping that there will never be a 'The End' to our story and may it go on and on, even when we are both old and wrinkled. Happy Valentine's Day, my dear.
P.S. In building up to our 10th wedding anniversary this April, I will be sharing more pics from our special day. So bear with me if they are too lovey dovey but they serve to remind me that marriage comes before family and I need to always cherish my one true love.
