Our previous donation of 280,000 face masks to the #Vatican arrived there without a hitch, to supply Catholic groups, including the Camillians-ministers to the sick who work largely in social care.
MOFA deputy minister, Kelly Hsieh, recently presided over a handover ceremony for a donation of a further 200,000 medical-grade face masks to the Holy See. The charge d'affaires ad interim of the Apostolic Nunciature, Monsignor Arnaldo Catalan, accepted the gift on the Vatican’s behalf. We hope that Taiwan can continue to work in cooperation with the Holy See to combat the #WuhanCoronavirus.
MOFA also teamed up with the Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See in Taipei and the European Chamber of Commerce, to source and send the pandemic prevention equipment to the church in Italy.
