Attended Chivas Regals's latest launch - The Icon. It's d pinnacle of Chivas' whiskies, which is blended w more than 20 distilleries, including rare & long lost distilleries. It's blended by Master Blender Colin Scott, this 1st yr only launched 1500 bottles, with 10 bottles in HK ($28,800@). I chatted w Master Blender Colin Scott & asked him what makes The Icon so special, he said d limited bottles may have variation in taste cos d blend may have some variation each year due to d long lost distilleries may be used up & changed to use another one. It's a Gd idea to attract whisky fans to buy a bottle this yr & next yr to compare! The whole experience at The Icon's launch is v luxurious, as d butler leads us to c d history of Chivas & finally meeta The Icon! Wonderful!
