寫這個英文版歌詞和唱的這個歌手不是有名的流行偶像，第一次聽她唱歌是我國中時候的優良學生選舉，那在我的國中可是一件大事，每個候選人都會在中午吃飯時間到各班拜票，還會有才藝表演拉票，當時我七年級，這個學姊九年級，她沒有很華麗的助選團，只有在中庭唱歌，我偷偷躲在遙遠的走廊看，莫名的崇拜感油然而生，後來她沒當選，但是她是我唯一記得的候選人。
英文版的歌詞沒有台語版那麼剛強有力，但是也不虛弱，更像台灣一樣溫柔卻勇敢;我們沒有泱泱大國一般的剽悍，但是內斂而堅定。
