227 Land & #EnvironmentDefenders were killed in 2020, according to a new report from Global Witness, making 2020 the most dangerous year on record for people defending their homes, land and livelihoods, and ecosystems vital for biodiversity and the climate.
The majority of these heroes were attacked defending the world’s forests—vital to curb the climate crisis—from deforestation and industrial development. Others died for their work protecting rivers, coastal areas and the oceans. More than one-third of the attacks were on Indigenous peoples.
We must #DefendTheDefenders if we are going to effectively tackle the interconnected crises of climate, biodiversity loss and human health.

I made a friend through instagram, a doctor who is always so generous in sharing her weekly struggles with her other frontliner colleagues. Astaga please read her latest post to me, heartbreaking! Please Malaysia, wake up from your slumber...
Salam, hi. How are you? Hope you are doing good and keep yourself safe. Our ICU is overwhelming with rising of cases till we have to ventilate patient in general ward. I just lost a pregnant lady due to covid and at one point, we have no choice but to cut her open to save her baby in the icu itself when she was unstable. Sadly the baby died. And the mother succumbed soon after. When we were facing with death, it didnt end then & there. We have to go through with mortality reports and multiple meetings after the death. Especially covid. The pressure is real. We had no choice but start to choose patient with better prognosis to be admitted to ICU. Through patient's history, all due to raya events. We are too tired to be mad and angry. Looks like we cant change our peoples mentality.
I wish I could tag her but then she'll get many notifications from my followers so let's just take in her writing to understand that this..... is..... not....... a propaganda, or some third world order brainwashing scheme. Covid is a dangerous airborne virus, accept it for what it is and take respnsibility for our actions.

keep reading if you wanna know more about my itinerary in Halong bay 🌸
I get to know Impress cruise through the car rental company that I get in touch with, there are several options you can go for, ranging from a one day trip (RM150), 2D1N (RM500) to a 3D2N trip (RM1000). You may find these deals on @klooktravel (find it reasonable while doing research)
Staying on the cruise is expensive (to me) hence I decided to opt for the one day trip for 37 USD. (The price were relatively lower than my other friends that went HalongBay)
So here's what included:
Transportation from your hotel (in any city area) to Halongbay (4 hours drive)
There will be a short break somewhere in the middle, pricey souvenirs and food, I would recommend you to have your breakfast before hitting the road cause the 25 minutes break isn't suffice for a meal.
We had lunch on the cruise at the very beginning of the trip, I kinda like it especially the fresh prawn (you can opt for non-seafood meal for 35 USD).
We also visited surprising cave which takes a rough 30 minutes walk.
What comes after is the most exciting part!
The kayaking/bamboo boat trip
(it's a small area for everyone so it's kinda crowded)
Kayak - isn't as dangerous cuz it's still water, you are free to go anywhere you wish, more time too.
Bamboo - a LOT of peoples in the same boat and it was a very short trip, definitely less than 30 minutes - more sutaible for your daddy mummy :/
Last trip: You can either swim at Titov island (please bring additional cloth) or climb up to the top mountain (it takes around 30 minutes) kinda tired but definitely worth it!
(You can only pick 1 activity cause there's very short time provided for this one)
On the way back you get to continue enjoy the view on the cruise for quite a while, no dinner is included so I'm super hungry while arriving hotel at 8-9pm :X
It's quite intense for a one day trip, but it worked fine to me since I choose to go Sapa for another 2d1n so that's the only time frame I have, but if you wish to go for a more luxury trip (or feeling rich) you should try 2d1n trip, it's a rare sight to have while staying on the cruise ♥️
Thanks for reading! Will update about Sapa soon. xoxo @ Halong Bay, Vietnam

A Japanese High School with a unique concept in Fukushima that is the first of its kind.
Fukushima Futaba Mirai Gakuen (a.k.a Futaba Future High School) opened two years ago near the evacuation zone of the nuclear power plant in Fukushima for the young students living in the area.
Ever since the tsunami, all I have seen and heard on the media is the negative things about Fukushima - I mean I get it, that’s what makes the headlines and catches peoples attention… and I have to admit even for me, before going to Fukushima, I pretty much had a negative connotation when someone brought up the word "Fukushima".
I thought it was a dangerous place to go because of the radiation etc… However, after going this time, I realised that wasn’t the case.
I felt behind all the negative things said in the media, were all these locals trying to get their voices heard by trying to make a movement and help their community become a better place.
So I had to make this video to help them spread the word and show people another side of Fukushima and their kind welcoming locals who are open to share with you their stories.
Thank you to all the students/teachers and locals I met. You guys are an inspiration. Keep on doing what you do!!!!!!
