When Fiona told me she was going to write a review on Dayre, I was quite nervous. Because anyone who reads her blog would know that she’s brutally honest, regardless of your friendship 😬 I’m so glad Fiona likes the book 😅 and here’s the rest of her review:

“I would really recommend this book and even for #dayremums who feel like you need some guidance and help.

My favourite chapters that I found most helpful are:
.
- The minimalist baby preparation
- The ONLY baby essentials you will need
- Dunstan baby language
- Breastfeeding step by step
- Nappy changing step by step
- Bath time step by step
- Preparing your older child for new baby (will probably come back to this when we have #sgbbbb number 2)

Some revelations I've learnt from the book:

- newborns feed every 2 hours?!?!? cray cray omg goodbye sleep I'll miss you
- babies use up to 8 diapers a day?!?!?!? omg siao liao that's literally a lot of $$$ 💸💸💸 but I don't wanna use cloth diapers cos I think washing them will kill my sanity 😩
- baby sounds have different meanings!
- how to clean my baby's mouth, gums and tongue
- that I really don't need to spend a lot of money just cos we're expecting!

I think what Michelle does great in this book is really stripping it down to the BARE ESSENTIALS and keeping it very real. It's so easy to get caught up in all the ads and even seeing the lives of online influencers on Instagram keeps making me feel like there's so many things I need to buy to prepare for the arrival of our little one?!?”.
