由於自己理財不當，特意讀了這本講我們如何不理智地花費的書。本身讀它前是感覺矛盾的，因為這一類的美國behavioral economics 行為經濟學書籍，一直給我一種太表面，老是「科學」但卻不夠實際的印象。
這本書基本上還是讓我失望的。經濟學教授兼作家 Dan Ariely 和一位「經濟學棟篤笑達人」合作寫這本書，基本上就是Dan寫好初稿後交給Jeff修改添加些jokes進去。但感覺就正正是不倫不類，也不怎麼好笑，就很forced的感覺。
全書都沒有提出什麼真的很創新的省錢方式 - 什麼每次省到錢就刻在一個硬幣上、開多一個存錢帳戶儲蓄等都是些低招。
倒是他們分析我們亂花錢的方式頗為準確，讓我下次付錢時能更為意：
We simply compare two things before we buy, instead of judging the item itself.
We treat money differently by categorising them when every dollar is the same.
We use credit cards and apps to avoid the pain of paying too much
We repeat prices just because we have seen them before
We overvalue what we have
We pay too much for apparent effort
還是買一些更直接講如何省錢的書吧，把這些留給象牙塔裡的人。
