❌ SỰ KHÁC NHAU GIỮA HEAR - LISTEN ❌
1. HEAR
UK /hɪə(r)/ - US /hɪr/
'Hear' là một động từ có nghĩa là nhận biết âm thanh bằng tai của bạn. Điều này có nghĩa là bạn không thực sự kiểm soát được nó (âm thanh vừa xảy ra) và bạn không phải cố gắng để nhận âm thanh hoặc thông tin bạn đang nghe. Kiểu như bị động, tự dưng nghe thấy.
Ví dụ:
I heard a knock at the door.
Tôi nghe thấy tiếng gõ cửa.
Suddenly I heard a noise. Someone was in the garden.
Could you speak up? I can’t hear you!
(Bạn có thể nói to lên không? Tôi không thể nghe thấy bạn!)
2. LISTEN
UK /ˈlɪsn/ - US /ˈlɪsn/
UK /ˈlɪs.ən/ US /ˈlɪs.ən/
'Listen' là một động từ có nghĩa là dành sự chú ý của bạn cho ai đó hoặc một cái gì đó để nghe. Bạn có thể nghe một cái gì đó và sau đó chọn nghe nó. Kiểu như chủ động, cố ý lắng nghe.
Ví dụ:
- Listen to this song. Can you understand the words?
Nghe bài hát này đi. Bạn có thể hiểu các từ không?
- I listened very carefully to what she said and wrote it all down.
- Could you repeat what you said, please? I wasn’t listening.
- I love listening to the radio in the morning while taking my shower.
- I heard a noise outside, but as soon as I tried to listen carefully to find out what it was, it stopped.
- I heard a really interesting thing about earthquakes on the radio this morning.
- I heard that you weren’t feeling well today.
(Tôi nghe nói rằng bạn không cảm thấy tốt ngày hôm nay.)
- Did you hear their new song? It’s really good.

The Only Situation Whereby God Sends Disasters in the World Today
“Yahweh said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don’t stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh...While he was still speaking, there also came another, and said, “The fire of God has fallen from the sky, and has burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”” (Job 1:12, 16 WEB)
We know from reading the Book of Job that it was Satan who afflicted Job with sores and destroyed his children, flocks, herds, servants and property.
Yet, when the servant ran to tell Job about the bad news, he said it was “the fire of God”.
People of the world who have no knowledge of the Scriptures are so quick to blame God for natural disasters in the world.
In insurance policies, they even call it “acts of God”, referring to unexpected disasters like tornadoes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, etc.
However, most of it is not even God causing these disasters.
Don’t forget that we live on a earth that’s fallen.
“For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.” (Romans 8:22 WEB)
When God created the earth, He didn’t design it to produce these calamities. Adam’s sin caused the earth to be subject to death and corruption.
Earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions—these are the groans and travailing of the earth that is in “pain”.
Aside from that, although Satan has lost his rulership over the earth because of Jesus’ finished work at the cross, he is still called “the prince of the power of the air”.
“in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience;” (Ephesians 2:2 WEB)
He has a certain level of power and influence over nature. At least we know that he can manipulate the air, causing things like hurricanes, whirlwinds and tornadoes.
The devil probably laughs when people blame God for natural disasters which he (Satan) has caused.
When these tragedies strike, some legalistic people say it’s God judging this country or judging that group of people for their sins. This isn’t true.
In this dispensation of the church age, God’s priority is to save as many people as possible—for them to have faith in Christ Jesus as Lord.
But is there any case nowadays whereby God may judge people using natural disasters as one of the methods?
“I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. All the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”” (Genesis 12:3 WEB)
It is possible, if it is linked to the nation of Israel. God made a covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying that He would curse whoever who curses Israel.
Israel is the only nation that God made such a covenant with. The other nations of the world have no such privilege.
Whenever a nation comes against Israel to harm or destroy her, God sends a manifestation of the curse—a devastating blow upon the perpetrator for the covenant’s sake.
Look at all the great world powers that came against Israel or persecuted the Jews in history: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, etc.
The power of these kingdoms have been irreversibly broken.
Research Hitler’s end when he committed genocide against the Jews.
You can also read about the Antichrist’s defeat in the Book of Revelation.
The Book of Zechariah reveals that just as he thinks he’s going to conquer Jerusalem, Jesus will return with the saints and angels upon the clouds, and destroy the Antichrist and his wicked armies.
Whoever dares to harm Israel has to face God Himself. No one can withstand His overwhelming power!
In “The Book of Revelation Explained”, you will understand more about the upcoming end-time events and gain strong confidence that there’s a great victory for God’s people: https://bit.ly/bookofrevelationexplained
