To achieve sustainable development, we all need to think how we can utilize our limited resources on earth.⠀
We have collected wastes from different places in order to create this work.⠀
This 20-meter backdrop was made up of a combination of discarded planks, including those that were about to be sent to the landfill after exhibitions, the splints that were thrown at the corner of factories, and abandoned old furniture.⠀
Seven endangered animals representing seven different regions of the world were made with more than⠀
2,000 plastic bottles. Since the amount and speed of plastic bottles’ daily usage in Hong Kong are tremendous, it is often faster than expected when we collect those plastic bottles every time.⠀
⠀
Nature gives us all kinds of resources unconditionally, and we must make good use of them to reduce the impact on the environment. Throughout the upcycling creation, we hope to give a new look to the “garbage” as to inspire more upcycling possibilities.⠀
