It is rare to have parents and in-laws who get along well, so it always amazes me and makes me extremely thankful to see how our parents can chit chat for hours, drink lots of beer, jio each other for karaoke sessions and even go on holidays together too. In fact, they just went to Batam together without us. Haha.
Here's a throwback to some of the cities we've visted together, including Batam, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Copenhagen and Brussels. It is never easy to travel in a big group with both elderly and young kids, and needless to say costly, but I am glad we have created, and are still creating, these precious vacation moments as a family.
While it is a tad impossible to go to faraway places now that our family has grown bigger, we will still try to go to nearby countries in the hope of having some family bonding and letting everyone have a good time. While our parents are still fit, healthy and able to travel and explore with us, we have to make the most of it. If not now, then when?
Thus, we are excited that we will be bringing our dads and mums for a vacation at the end of this year, woohoo! It's a place which we've visited a couple of times already and my mum was saying "Won't you be bored? Why not go somewhere else where you haven't been to?" But the point for us was to choose a place where we know everyone will enjoy and have fun, so this feels pretty right for us.
Family holidays are truly priceless and awesome. I know the kids will be elated to have their grandpas and grandmas with us this time round. Till more updates!
