This was my second visit to this temple as my first visit photos were like typical tourist; full with selfie and all about myself. Well, nowadays when i travel i feel that i need to bring you all to the place, so the place itself will speak louder.. because when you travel is not only about yourself, it’s all about the place you visit, the detail, the beauty, it that belongs to the place and make it worth to visit..

Wat Arun, locally known as Wat Chaeng, is situated on the west (Thonburi) bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is easily one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok, not only because of its riverside location, but also because the design is very different to the other temples you can visit in Bangkok.

When visiting Bangkok, one should not miss a chance to visit the old city despite its distance from the BTS and metro line.

Since we were on a tight schedule and live far away, we only have one day to visit so we decided to hit the big three: Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun!

We started off with the Grand Palace, as it closes relatively early. It is most famous for the Temple of Emerald Buddha among other temples and palaces.

Next is Wat Pho, also known as temple of reclining buddha with a 47m long reclining buddha statue and the first massage school in Thailand.

Last but not least is Wat Arun, frequently seen on Instagram. It's distinctive with the three towers and is also known as the temple of dawn.
