在出差過境台灣的飛機上看了電影【關鍵少數】，一部關於NASA背後的天才黑人女性數學家的故事。真實故事改編、講述三個非裔美國女性在種族與性別歧視嚴重的時代（連上廁所都要走兩公里去有色人種女廁！），以脫穎而出的數學、工程與領導能力，幫太空總署送太空人上月球的故事。
故事中的女性數學家卡薩琳是第一個在太空計畫裡的非裔女性，上班的第一天同事還把垃圾桶給她，以為她是清潔工。故事中的另一個女工程師則是因為太空總署有一定要上白人才能上的學校學歷要求，因此到法院提出請願，最後法官給予特例，在對法官請願的對談中，她說：「總是得有人當第一個先例！」
正好最近有谷歌工程師，因為散佈認為女性在科技業不如男性優秀的文章，因此被開除的事件。姐妹們！我想證實男女平權最好的方式之一就是證明自己的實力，相信自己、開口要求、以實力讓大家心服口服！有女兒的父母們，別再只把兒子送到科學夏令營，搞不好你的女兒就是下一個改變世界的科學家、科技巨擘！
Watched the movie Hidden Figures which is a movie about three outstanding African American scientists fought for equal right and helped NASA won space competition in an era where racism was main stream.
In the era where colored women in NASA had to walk two miles to find a "colored restroom", one of the three African American female scientists discovered huge math mistakes that those white male counterparts made. Another of of them went to court for petition to study in a white-only school in order to get a degree which was required to be an engineer in NASA. During the petition, she said, "someone has to be the first."
Recently there was the Google news about gender diversity. Ladies, let's showcase our capability and speak up to prove we are as good as, if not better, than our male counterparts! Parents, invest in your daughters and believe they can be the next world-changing scientist/engineers!
