This fabulous serinity was captured at the long house village in Sarawak during my recent #aabc trip with the @airasia fam gang. We had some of the most amazing tranquillity and one of the warmest greetings from the local. I've tasted some very delicious Iban delicacies and had one of the best Tuak (local rice wine) ever.

For centuries, Sarawak remains Malaysia's key pepper producing state and while we are visiting Sibu, we've also visited the pepper farm owned by a local family. The state is the highest producer of pepper in the country and albeit growing in smaller volume here at this farm, the vines are beautiful. There are close to 600 trees and these noble spice are gorgeous under the loving care of Mr. Sia.
I bet plenty of people haven't seen actual pepper plant. Here's how it's like venturing into rows of tall vines. We certainly looked jakun-ish but it was a lovely stop during the recent #SibuFoodTrail. More about it on the blog soon.

The locals eat super really big breakfast and their day starts early with such breakfasts with Kampua being one of the local delicacy. Resembling the wanton mee at a glance, this one is actually really different in taste. A must try. Just make sure you burn it all throughout the days' routine 😄.
