Sitting through your quarantine, or suffering under the lockdown? There are bunch of free cultural and art resources online that you can benefit from. In this post, I'm going to show you how incredibly rich and resourceful the collections of Gallica database and the BnF are. Manuscripts, books, prints, illustrations, etc. from centuries ago are well preserved and presented in digital form and open to public. What's more, you can even download them for personal and non-commercial use for free! This is the database that I hugely reply on and owe to when writing my book "L'Art de la pâtisserie française".
