木瓜煲湯生熟皆宜
木瓜既是水果,又是下廚的食材,更可藥用,從中醫角度來看,木瓜有健脾胃、幫助消化、消暑解渴的功效,未成熟的青木瓜酸甜爽脆,適合用來做涼拌菜或煲湯;煲湯尤其適合產婦飲用,因為青木瓜所含的蛋白酶比熟木瓜多,有助催乳。而熟木瓜香甜多汁,可作水果食用,或者攪拌成蓉醃肉,因為木瓜酵素能分解蛋白質,令肉質更鬆軟;用作煲湯的話可令湯水更清甜可口。
木瓜 — 性平,能健脾胃,幫助消化,消暑解渴。適合脾胃虛弱、容易胃脹不適人士服用,能紓緩食慾下降、消化不良、胃部不適、產婦乳汁不多等症狀。注意孕婦不宜食用。
食材小貼士:
黃豆性平,有健脾利濕功效,有助紓緩脾虛水腫、無胃口等症狀。適合各類體質人士食用。但注意過量服用容易引致胃脹。痛風患者忌食。
木瓜粟米黃豆湯
功效:理氣和胃,清熱利濕,紓緩腸胃濕熱引起的胃脹及便秘等症狀。
材料:熟木瓜1個、粟米2根、粟米鬚20克、眉豆20克、黃豆30克、蜜棗2枚
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,木瓜去皮去籽切塊;粟米去衣留鬚切段備用。
2. 鍋中加入2000毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮1小時,最後下鹽調味即可。
注意:由於木瓜會刺激子宮收縮,孕婦不宜食用。

Benefits of using ripe and unripe papayas to make soup
Papaya is not only a type of fruit but also an ingredient used in cooking and has medicinal properties. From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, papaya can strengthen the stomach and spleen, aid digestion, clear summer-heat, and quench thirst.
Unripe green papayas are crunchy and are both sour and sweet in taste. They are suitable for cold dishes and can be used to make soup. Soup made from unripe papayas is suitable for postpartum women as the green fruit contains more proteases than the ripe ones, and these enzymes can induce lactation.
Ripe papayas, on the other hand, are sweet and juicy, and can be served as fresh fruit or mashed into puree and be used to marinate meat. This is because the enzymes in the papayas can break down protein, tenderizing the texture of the meat. By using ripe papayas to make soup, it becomes sweeter.
Papaya – mild in nature, can strengthen the spleen and stomach, improve digestion and quench one’s thirst; is suitable for individuals with a weak spleen and stomach, and those who experience bloating. It can stimulate appetite, relieve indigestion and promote lactation. Pregnant women should avoid eating papaya.
Tips on ingredient:
Soy beans are mild in nature, can strengthen the spleen and dispel dampness. Alleviates symptoms related to weak spleen such as bloating and lack of appetite. They are suitable for all body types. Note over consumption can lead to abdominal bloating and those suffering from gout should avoid.
Papaya and corn soup with soya bean
Effects: regulates qi and stomach, clears heat and dispels dampness, relieves stress related symptoms such as abdominal bloating and constipation.
Ingredients: 1 ripe papaya, 2 ears of corn, 20g corn silk, 20g black-eyed pea, 30g soya bean, 2 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel and core the papaya and cut into pieces. Remove husks from corn and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.
Note: Since papaya can cause uterine contractions, it is not suitable for pregnant women.

水果屬於生冷食物嗎?其實我們進食的水果已在成熟狀態,在室溫狀態享用便不算是生冷食物,建議吃整個水果而非喝果汁!
至於有人多吃水果取代正餐,中醫並不建議這樣做,因為人體需要從食物攝取各種營養素,只吃水果未能提供全面營養,而且水果含果糖,進食過量會變成脂肪,每日吃兩份水果已經足夠,一個中型蘋果或如拳頭般大小算一份。

Consuming an appropriate amount of fruit is good for health, but many women are curious to know what would be the most suitable fruits to eat during menstruation?
According to Chinese Medicine theories, blood circulates well when it is warm and stagnate when it is cold. Hence, it is best to consume fruits that are mild in nature during menstruation. These fruits include apple, papaya, grape, pineapple, avocado, fig, jackfruit, green apple and plum. Avoid fruits that are cold in nature, such as kiwi, strawberry, pear, dragon fruit, watermelon, honeydew, young coconut, and ripe banana.
Are fruits raw and cold? We normally consume ripe fruits. Hence, they are not a type of raw and cold food if we eat them at room temperature. We recommend eating them as they are and not blend them into fruit juice.
There are also people who would replace proper meals with fruits. Chinese physicians do not encourage this dietary practice because our bodies need to absorb a wide array of nutrients from food. Eating fruits alone cannot provide all the nutrients, and fruits contain fructose, which would turn into fat if accumulated in the body. Hence, consuming two servings of fruits per day is sufficient. Each serving is about the size of a medium apple or a fist.

奇異果 — 性寒,味甘酸,能清熱生津、健脾、利尿,紓緩無胃口、消化不良、欲吐、痔瘡等症狀。注意女士脾胃虛寒容易腹瀉、有寒性痛經不易多服。
水梨 — 性涼,能生津潤燥、清熱化痰及解酒,尤其適合經常使用喉嚨說話和唱歌的人士,另外身體有偏熱症狀如口乾、喉嚨痛、聲音沙啞等也適合食用。注意脾胃虛寒人士不宜多吃。

Eating pineapple can relieve indigestion and promote diuresis. It is not suitable for diabetic patients.
Kiwi- cold in nature with a sour and sweet taste, and can clear heat and promote fluid production, strengthen the spleen and promote diuresis. It alleviates lack of appetite, indigestion, nausea, and hemorrhoids. Note that it is not suitable for ladies with asthenic spleen and stomach, prone to diarrhea and has cold type menstrual pain.

12g powdered gelatin
3 tablespoons of water
Matcha powder 1 tbsp
2 tablespoons of hot water
[How to make]
Preparation. Let the cream cheese come to room temperature.
1. Sprinkle powdered gelatin in water to soften.
2. Add matcha powder and hot water to the bowl and mix until the matcha powder melts.
3. Put the cream sand cocoa cookie in a zipper storage bag and crush it finely with a rolling pin. Add melted unsalted butter, knead it by hand, lay it on the bottom of the mold when the butter is familiar, press it with a spoon and put it in the refrigerator.
4. Put ① in a pot and heat on low heat until boiling. Remove from heat, add 1 and mix with a heat resistant rubber spatula to dissolve.
5. Put cream cheese in a bowl, mix with a whisk, and when it becomes smooth, add sugar in 2 portions, mix well, add sugar-free yogurt and lemon juice, and mix further.
Add 6.4 and mix well. Divide the dough into two parts. Add 2 to one and mix.

Be careful not to boil gelatin because it will be hard to harden when it is boiled.
