Today is Makha Bucha Day 🙏🏻
The history of Makha Bucha is considered an important day of Buddhism. Due to an important event that occurred more than 2,500 years ago, the Lord Buddha Kotama delivered a speech in the midst of the Great Confederation of Buddhism.
Formerly there was no worshiping ceremony in Theravada Buddhism. Until the reign of King Mongkut (Rama 4), he preached the events of the Lord Buddha on the full moon day of the 3rd month because it is a very important day. Buddhist rituals should be performed in order to be a place of faithful worship. Therefore, there is merit in the management of Makha Bucha. The ritual may be similar to Visakha Puja Day, which is a various charitable practices and lighting candles according to the Buddhist traditions in the temple. Of the Emerald Buddha and various temples The ceremony was not yet widespread. Later, the popularity of the Makha Bucha ceremony spread throughout the kingdom.
Today, Makha Bucha Day is declared a public holiday in Thailand. Both Buddhists and royalty and people perform ceremonies such as making merit, giving alms and listening to the sermon, lighting candles, paying respect to the Triple Gem and an important event that is regarded as the day when the Lord Buddha creates a miracle which describes the doctrine. The heart of Buddhism is not to do all evil to do good and increase thought. To be a practice guideline for all Buddhists

God Desires Mercy, Not Sacrifice
“For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” (Hosea 6:6 WEB)
The Law of Moses is not God’s main agenda. He doesn’t look at the system of the Law and feel pleased about it.
What He loves is to show mankind mercy. He made a way to do that through the New Covenant of Grace. Under Grace, God can be merciful to us because Jesus righteously received all the punishment for sins that we deserved.
God is not impressed by rituals and rites. He does not delight in the rivers of blood that flowed from the multitudes of animals offered as sacrifice.
This is what He wants: for us to know Him as our loving Abba, Father.
To truly know God is to know that He is love, and that He is pure light, without any darkness at all.
Are you still seeing God through the tinted lens of the Law and how He dealt with Israel under the Old Covenant?
Let the gloriously radiant Gospel of Grace remove those lens so that you can see God for who He is—that He is full of grace, mercy, truth and love.
“The city has no need for the sun, neither of the moon, to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk in its light. The kings of the earth bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.” (Revelation 21:23-24 WEB)
The Book of Revelation is a beautiful book, and it is filled with glorious hope for a believer’s future. Understand it: https://bit.ly/bookofrevelationexplained
