We’d like to share a little story about how Cabaret Series: Golden Melody 劲歌金曲 came about.
One of our regular patrons attended Cabaret Series: Yesterday Once More 3 in July. When he found out we wanted to do a #Cantopop tribute next, he pledged to buy up a night and help us raise funds. We rushed out a deck that very weekend.
However, he found it difficult to reach his target due to the climate. But we would still like to thank the benefactor who has helped us time and again in his own small way.
This production was built based on this kindness and, in a way, this is how we have been getting by these past few months. Cast buying food and taking care of each other, our tech surprising us with a lighting design which was not in his fee…
Yesterday, we opened to a warm audience and many were moved to tears by the songs.
Let’s set aside our worries for the moment, sing along, wave your glow sticks and create some beautiful memories to see us through these difficult times.

我们想要跟大家分享一些关于《劲歌金曲》的小故事。
我们其中一位长期赞助人出席了7月份举办的《卡巴莱系列：昨天再现3》，当他得知我们正筹备向 #粤语流行音乐 致敬的演唱会时，他毫不犹豫承诺认购一场，希望协助我们筹募款项，我们也在周末赶紧把计划书给准备好。
或缺了「天时」，筹款反应不如预期，我们仍然感谢他以自己的方式一次又一次地帮助我们。
此演出就在这好意下建立起来，而其实在某程度上，我们在过去几个月以来都收到各方的善意，无论大小而珍贵。
表演者们相互照顾，还不忘买小吃慰劳团队；更让我们惊喜的是我们的技术人员协助灯光设计这一块，这并不含在他的费用之中啊⋯⋯
昨晚，观众的热情填满了我们的预演场，许多人为之感动⋯
就让我们暂时放下忧虑，继续唱歌给大家听。你别忘了挥舞手中的荧光棒（是的，我们现场有送荧光棒！）让我们一起创造美好的回忆，与我们共度艰难的时刻。
