Water is Coming to you

“He said, “Yahweh says, ‘Make this valley full of trenches.’ For Yahweh says, ‘You will not see wind, neither will you see rain, yet that valley will be filled with water, and you will drink, both you and your livestock and your other animals. This is an easy thing in Yahweh’s sight. He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand. You shall strike every fortified city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all springs of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones.’” In the morning, about the time of offering the sacrifice, behold, water came by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water. Now when all the Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them, they gathered themselves together, all who were able to put on armor, young and old, and stood on the border. They rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone on the water, and the Moabites saw the water opposite them as red as blood. They said, “This is blood. The kings are surely destroyed, and they have struck each other. The Israel army coalition had no water to drink for seven days. They were thirsty and asked the prophet Elisha to inquire of the Lord Yahweh.

The Lord’s instruction was to make the valley full of trenches, in preparation to collect the water.

Yet you may wonder where is the water going to come from if there is no wind or rain?

Sometimes, when the Lord asks you to get into position, just do it without trying to reason it out.

He said to make the valley full of trenches, meaning GET READY TO RECEIVE.

How much water do you want to catch? The more trenches you dig, the more water you will store, if not the water will come, but it will just flow away.

The Lord allows you to choose how much you want to act upon His rhema word. If you have faith, you will make the valley of your life full of trenches, ready to receive from Him.

The water came by the way of Edom. It is not your job to know how the water comes. The point is, the water WILL come because the Lord has commanded it.

The water had a double purpose for the Israel coalition. It satiated their thirst, and it also became an important military tactic used by the Lord to defeat Israel’s enemies.

The water that you collect in the coming days will enable you to defeat enemies in your life.

Everyone’s “trenches” are different—you will know what yours is. Whatever the Lord has put into your heart to do, remember that you can choose how much water you will collect, based on how many trenches you make.

Do not waste time questioning, “How will the water come? How is it possible?” The water is coming so it is time to get in position!

God Even Uses Foolish Things

“but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong; and God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are: that no flesh should boast before God.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:27-29‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Never despise anything or anyone. You never know how God is going to supply His abundant grace. There may be a huge turnaround suddenly and you will be caught in an awkward situation if you have been prideful and haughty.

In Egypt, God used a Hebrew baby of a slave to defeat a king and his army. I’m talking about Moses, and how prideful Pharaoh was brought low through the power of God.

Without God, we are nothing. He is everything!

Be humble, and respect every fellow human being because God can do anything. He can turn any situation around for good.

The Lord Jesus turned Saul the persecutor into Paul the apostle of grace to the Gentiles. There is nothing impossible for Him!

DAISO Mess Tin (500yen) became very popular in June 2020 and still hot now in 2021.

I recorded this video last year btw 😅
It was pretty fun to cook rice outdoor with kids.

For future use, I am keeping this in our emergency bag 👍

DAISO Mess Tin (How to Cook Japanese White Rice in a Camping Cookware)

Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 1hr
Number of servings: 1~2 people

Necessary Equipment:
Mess Tin
solid fuel
trivet
aluminum plate for the fuel
lighter
parchment paper
1 cup = 160g (5.6oz.) Japanese rice
200ml water
cotton gloves
towel

Direction:
1. Wash rice and place it in Mess Tin lined with parchment paper. Add water and leave for 15~30 minutes to let it absorb water. * I did not rest the rice but the result was pretty good.
2. Place the solid fuel on the aluminum plate. Place it in the center of trivet. Set fire, place the Mess Tin, and cook until the fire goes out.
3. Wear the cotton gloves and hold the lid securely. Then flip it over and leave to steam for 15 minutes. If you have a towel wrap Mess Tin to steam. *Flipping over is to cook rice more uniformly but some people say it is not necessary.
