偶然出現肩頸痛、腰痠背痛,都希望藉按摩緩解痠痛及肌肉疲勞,但光顧按摩店或水療中心一次按摩動輒數百至數千元,你有試過利用按摩球給自己按摩嗎?以網球或高爾夫球亦可以,透過球體滾動及按壓,有助紓緩緊繃的肌肉,促進血液循環,連肩頸、背部位置都可以自己按到,價錢亦相當經濟。如果痛症持續,要諮詢專業人士意見治理。
紓緩肩頸痛
適合經常使用電腦人士
做法:
1. 坐在有高靠背的椅子上,將按摩球放在上背部與椅子之間,以背部慢慢滾動按摩球,如遇到痛點可持續按壓約1分鐘,其餘位置滾動約3分鐘。
2. 靠牆站立,雙膝向下微曲,將按摩球放在提肩胛肌,向後用力壓牆約1分鐘。左手踭提起然後放下,重覆約3-5次,換另一邊提肩胛肌重覆動作。
紓緩足底筋膜炎
適合長期站立或步行的上班族,或經常跑步、行山人士
做法:靠牆或椅子旁邊,將按摩球放在足弓下,腳趾向下及下屈曲,以身體重量壓下,移動腳板慢慢將球滾到痛點,持續按壓約1分鐘。將球由腳跟滾到腳趾,重覆約2分鐘,換另一隻腳重覆動作。

DIY massage

By rolling and pressing the ball against your body, you can relieve the tension on the muscles and improve the circulation of the blood in areas like your neck and your back in the most economical way. To relieve pain in the neck and shoulders
Suitable for: individuals who regularly use the computer
Method:
1. Sit on a high-back chair and place the massage ball between the back and the chair. Start rolling the ball against the chair by moving the back of your body. Roll and press the ball against the area of discomfort for about 1 minute and complete the entire session in 3 minutes.
2. Lean against the wall and bend your knees. Place the massage ball on the levator scapula and press it against the wall for about 1 minute. Then, raise your left hand and put it down. Repeat the same steps 3-5 times. Repeat the same steps for the other side of your levator scapula.
Relieve the jogger's heel (Plantar fasciitis)
Suitable for: individuals who stand or walk for a long time or those who enjoy jogging and hiking
Method: Lean against a wall or the side of a chair and place the massage ball beneath the arch of the foot. Curl the toes downward and exert pressure on the ball using the weight of the body. Roll the ball with the foot sole and massage the pain area for about 1 minute. Then roll the ball from the heel to the toes, and repeat the steps for about 2 minutes. Repeat the same steps for the other foot.

「將手舉高可以止血啊!」
「快點用凍水拍額頭吧!」
秋天氣候乾燥,鼻黏膜變得特別乾,流鼻血情況偶有發生,坊間止鼻血的方法真是五花百門,以下五個錯誤止鼻血行為,你有做過嗎?
1. 頭向後仰 — 下意識覺得頭向後仰就能阻止鼻血流下來,事實是血繼續往鼻腔裡流到咽喉。
2. 塞廁紙 — 把廁紙捲成棒狀往鼻孔裡塞,對止血沒多大幫助,小心廁紙有菌更會造成細菌感染。
3. 凍水拍額頭 — 原理是藉著皮膚遇冷令血管收縮,但額頭距離鼻子太遠了吧?
4. 冰敷額頭 — 同上,冰敷會使血管有冷凍收縮效果,但在鼻頭冰敷更為有效。
5. 把手舉高 — 傳聞左邊鼻孔流血舉左手,右邊流舉右手,結果舉到手軟血仍未止。
流鼻血正確處理方法:
先將頭微微向前垂低,用手指輕按壓兩邊鼻樑,改為用口呼吸,約1-2分鐘後放手,如血仍然流出就重覆上述動作至止血為止,如果超過10分鐘仍未止血,或者出現次數頻密,例如一周數次,建議就醫處理。

5 wrong things to do when you have a nosebleed

Due to the dry autumn, the nose membrane becomes dry and nosebleeds occasionally occur. There are so many methods to stop nosebleeds. Have you ever tried the following five wrong ways?
1. Tilt your head up- You think you can tilt your head to stop the nosebleeds. The truth is that the blood continues to the throat through your nose.
2. Block with toilet paper- Roll the toilet paper into a stick and plug it into the nostrils. It does not help to stop the bleeding. Beware bacteria in the toilet paper may cause bacterial infection.
3. Tap the forehead with cold water- The principle is that the blood vessels contract when skin is cold, but isn't the forehead is too far from the nose?
4. Put an ice pack on the forehead- Same as above. Ice will cause the blood vessels to freeze and contract, but it is more effective to put the ice pack on the nose tip.
5. Raise your hand- It is a myth that raising your left hand when the left nostril bleeds will stop the bleeding and vice versa for the right side. You will just end up with tired arms and a continued bleeding nose.
Correct treatment of nosebleeds:
First, lower the head slightly forward, use your fingers to gently press the two sides of the bridge of the nose, and then breathe through your mouth. After about 1-2 minutes, release your fingers. If it is still bleeding, repeat the above action until the bleeding stops. If it is bleeding for more than 10 minutes, or nosebleeds occur frequently, such as several times a week, you should seek medical treatment.
