The Tibetan Handicraft Cooperative Society is near and dear to our hearts — formed in 1963, almost as soon as the Tibetan Exile community was established in Dharamsala, the Society ensured the preservation of Tibetan arts and handicrafts and provided training and a living for Tibetan artisans — including for my own uncles, who are and were highly talented painters and craftsman ♥️ Here’s a peek at the creation of a gorgeous handmade Tibetan Tiger rug, which is in the process of being sheared down by hand to make it perfectly level 🤩 #tibetanrug #tibetanart #handmadecarpets
