我指導教授是遠渡重洋來到台灣教書的義大利人,這幾週收到他要正式回國,開心跟感傷的情緒並存~
說再見是種記憶重組的過程,回想起來第一次看到老師,因為很會打扮,還以為是來台灣交換學生的新博班學長,結果在隔天傍晚上課時,郭老師介紹他是新教授,最令人永遠想不到的事,就在那天居然就正式成為他前兩位指導學生了🤣🤣
因為他大我幾歲,所以大多時比較像大哥哥跟朋友,但在指導論文的時候,又會恢復嚴格的老師~在他的指導下~再辛苦的寫論文過程中~有清晰的概念跟框架~能順利寫完畢業~很感謝GC指導~
畢業後我很順利地開始在某些學校教書,很開心的跟教授分享這份消息,他也不吝提供我很多教書方法跟鼓勵,是很用心的教授,他提醒我說:當老師永遠要先檢討自己,從自己教學技巧做改善,而不是怪學生學習狀況不好~真是醍醐灌頂~讓我低調更虛心學習要做個持續進步的講師
這兩年在您身上學習到不少文化、飲食喜好、還有人文風情,希望在未來某一天也可以去義大利拜訪您,也想去吃您所推薦過所有的披薩、巧克力、聖誕節蛋糕、義大利麵、起司、水果、啤酒、紅酒、濃縮咖啡,還有在當地看您熱愛的足球賽~~~

My advisor is an Italian who has traveled across the oceans to teach in Taiwan. In the past few weeks, I received news that he would officially return to Italy. On the one hand, I was very happy for him, and on the other hand, I feel also sentimental~
Saying goodbye is a process of memory reorganization. In retrospect, I saw the teacher for the first time in University of Taptei . Because he looks was very chic, I thought it was a new PHD student who came to Taiwan to exchange. Then in the evening class on the next day, our prof. Kuo introduced him as a newcomer. Professor, the most unexpected thing is probably that, after I knew that he was a teacher who had just come to Taiwan that day, I actually became his first two graduate student!
Because he is a few years older than me, he looks like a big brother and friends most of the time, but when he is instructing the thesis, he will become a strict teacher again. Thank you very much for all guidance. No matter how hard writing the thesis it is. The clearer and clearer concepts and frameworks ~ let me finish writing successfully ~ ~ ~ I really appreciate the guidance from you GC ~
After graduating, I started teaching in certain schools smoothly and I was very happy to share this news with the professor. He did not hesitate to provide me with many teaching methods and encouragement. He is a very diligent professor. He reminded me: When a teacher is always first Review yourself and make improvements from your own teaching skills, instead of blaming the students for their poor learning status. It’s really an initiation. To be humble and more modest mind to be a lecturer of continuous improvement.
In the past two years, professor share a lot about Italian culture, food preferences, and cultural customs. I hope that one day in the future, I can visit you in Italy🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹, and I also want to eat all the restaurant and store you have recommended, such as pizza, chocolate, Christmas cakes, pasta, cheese, fruits, beer, red wine, espresso, and watch your favorite football in the local.
I wish you and your family, especially your wife who has been separated from you for so long because of the covid. Full of blessings~

Em gái Helen tên là Summer Hạ Uyên nhưng con bé không phải là mùa hè đứng yên!
Năm Helen 4 tuổi, Helen phát hiện bụng mẹ mình ngày càng to bất thường. Mẹ Helen cứ xoa bụng rồi bảo, đây là em con đấy. Lúc đó Helen chỉ nghĩ, chẳng biết cái đứa đáng ghét nào ở trong bụng mẹ lâu vậy, làm mẹ hay mệt, lại không có thời gian chơi với mình. Helen ghét lắm, nhất quyết không muốn có sự xuất hiện của đứa em này. Mẹ Helen cứ phải thủ thỉ, dỗ dành mãi, đưa ra hằng trăm lý do, đặc biệt nhấn mạnh vào việc, em mà là em gái thì sau này sẽ có người chơi đồ hàng với con. Vừa hay đến lúc Hạ Uyên ra đời thì Helen cũng nghe theo mẹ mà chấp nhận sự hiện diện của nhân vật này!
Suốt mùa hè năm đó, và những mùa hè sau này, lẫn những mùa khác trong năm, Hạ Uyên trở thành tuổi thơ sống động, chí choé, nhắng nhít và đáng nhớ của Helen ❤️
Cục mùa hè không chịu đứng yên này luôn là đồng minh thân cận, fan cứng thứ thiệt, hưởng ứng nhiệt tình tất cả trò vui mà Helen bày ra.
Sau những mùa hè chơi đồ hàng, búp bê chán chê với Uyên và mấy đứa khác trong xóm, có một lần nọ, khi tình cờ tìm thấy một cái hộp nho nhỏ rồi treo lên góc tường, Helen nghĩ đến ý tưởng rủ Uyên viết thư gửi cho mình?!?! Thế mà cũng có người ủng hộ! 2 đứa ở cùng nhà, ngủ cùng giường, ngày ngày viết thư cho nhau, nghe có hơi kì quặc một tí nhưng kệ, vui là được! 😜 Mỗi lần nhận được thư mới từ Uyên là Helen háo hức lắm, cứ hồi hộp, tò mò không biết hôm nay mình sẽ được cập nhật thông tin bất ngờ gì. Cũng nhờ những bức thư này mà hai chị em hiểu nhau hơn.
Lớn hơn một chút nữa, học theo bộ phim truyền hình nào đó mà Helen cũng chẳng nhớ là bộ phim gì, Helen lập ra câu lạc bộ “Yesterday” có Helen là chủ tịch câu lạc bộ và em Uyên là thành viên danh dự duy nhất. Mọi người đừng thắc mắc vì sao Helen lấy cái tên này nhé, hồi nhỏ thích đặt tên gì là mình đặt thôi 😂 Câu lạc bộ không tổ chức hoạt động nào cả ngoài việc hội trưởng và hội viên luyện tập giao tiếp với nhau thông qua ngôn ngữ bằng tay. 2 đứa cứ múa may loạn xạ, miễn sao diễn tả được ý tưởng mình đang muốn truyền đạt là gì 😂
Lúc nhỏ Helen bày lắm trò vậy thôi, chứ khi lớn lên, cục mùa hè này mới là người xông pha hơn cả. Trong thời gian Uyên đi học ở Nhật, em bắt tay vào viết trang danangcuisine giới thiệu về ẩm thực, quán xá Đà Nẵng cho các bạn bè quốc tế. Ở thời điểm năm 2009-2010 khi trang blog đó ra đời, khái niệm food review tại Việt Nam còn chưa phổ biến như bây giờ. Danangcuisine của Uyên đã mang tên em xuất hiện trên tờ Weekend Weekly (Hồng Kông) và New York Times, trở thành nhân vật xuyên suốt được giới thiệu cùng với những món ngon Đà Nẵng.
Du học trở về, Uyên (lúc này chọn cho mình cái tên Summer) còn mở hostel đầu tiên ở Đà Nẵng. Chưa dừng lại ở đó, vài năm sau, Summer xây dựng Nén – nhà hàng fine dining đầu tiên ở Đà Nẵng (tại thời điểm mà Helen còn chưa biết fine-dining là gì!). Năm 2019, Nén Restaurant lọt vào danh sách “World’s 50 Best Discovery” do hội đồng gồm hơn 1000 chuyên gia ẩm thực hàng đầu thế giới bình chọn.
Helen luôn ngưỡng mộ sự liều lĩnh và nhạy bén của em gái mình. Trong khi Helen thường tính toán kế hoạch kỹ càng và đưa ra nhiều phương án dự phòng để tránh các tình huống bất trắc, Summer lại là một người kín tiếng, đã thích gì thì cứ im im làm đến cùng, không cần biết kết quả sẽ như thế nào. Summer cứ như hòn đá lăn, là một mùa hè không chịu đứng yên đúng nghĩa, xông pha từ ý tưởng này đến ý tưởng khác, thử cái này, làm cái kia, thách thức những giới hạn bản thân và mang đến nhiều điều bất ngờ mới mẻ cho mình lẫn mọi người xung quanh.
Nhân dịp sinh nhật tuổi mới của em, Helen chúc em sẽ ngày càng toả sáng và thành công hơn với những lựa chọn của mình. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Le Ha Uyen ❤️

I stumbled upon this fancy restaurant, Dos Mestizos which you can locate at the Main road, Station 1. Across Seawind Resort.
I was fascinated with how they seem to always get people to dine in and have drinks. On May 12, 2021, I visited the place and dined in and it was not a pleasant experience as I expected.
I am DJ Macky Suson, and I have been here in Boracay for two weeks. After living in Singapore for 10 years and suffered from mental health disorders, I chose Boracay as my place to recover. I have decided to review the places I go to, to help this beloved island improve on things it offers- food, a place to stay, drinks, activities, price and most importantly, the service.
I was greeted by the owner, if I am not mistaken with warm welcome which I expected as I always see him at the place talking to people. Dos Mestizo’s signature ‘Mestizo’ is traditional Spanish dishes elevated by complementing Filipino flavors and other carefully selected ingredients imported from Europe. The menu was not that comprehensive and all I could see was Paella. And so I thought, that’s probably what they are pushing and that’s their best selling food. I ordered a glass fresh pineapple juice, PAELLA VALENCIANA, small. The price was roughly 30 Singapore Dollars and I was expecting for it to be really good.
There was a complimentary bread that’s served and I actually loved it, specially the sauce. After finishing it, I thought, the paella could be better. It was not the case.
In Barcelona, they have a fast food for paella and most locals there said it’s bad. The truth is, my paella experience at that fast food in Barcelona was a lot way better than in Dos Meztisos.
PAELLA VALENCIANA looked great. I wish it tasted great but it was not the case. It was really dry to begin with. The rice seemed to be hit by El Niño as it was as dry as the season. The overall taste was okay. I mean for 30 Singapore Dollars, it’s unacceptable. The serving was good for 1 adult and one kid. The nightmare happened when I ate a portion of meat which tasted rotten. It seemed like it was placed in the fridge for months and they did not notice. It destroyed the entire experience. But at that time, I wanted to throw up but I could not because the owner was literally in front of me and so with other 3 guests.
This place is probably great for drinking but for food, I would not recommend for people to come here. I am happy I did not have food poisoning.
