世界衛生組織幹事長譚德塞於2020年4月8日例行記者會上回應川普的批評時突然點名台灣，並公開指控台灣人民用言語對譚德塞本人種族歧視。此無根據的抹黑引發台灣人民不滿，並於9日發起台灣「出名的溫柔」攻勢，以#ThisAttackComesFromTaiwan 張貼美食與美景，回覆譚德塞之指控，並邀請譚德塞來台觀光。
