Pari-Pari means crispy in Japanese.
Healthy, Crispy yet Delicious! They were all gone within a few minutes! Kids are asking me to make it again 😋
I think getting an oil spray was my mistake 😅 Spraying will make a mess... You can toss with some oil in a bowl if you like to coat potatoes evenly 👍
My kids went to potato digging. This year we got many potatoes. BTW, previous years we made some french fries and croquettes 💖

Pari-Pari Baked Potato Chips (Healthy, Crispy yet Delicious)
Difficulty: VERY Easy
Time: 30min
Number of servings: 12 pieces
Ingredients:
400g (14oz.) potatoes
olive oil or other oil of your choice
500ml water
1 tsp. salt
Directions:
1. Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes (using a slicer is easy). Soak in salt water for 10 minutes to remove excess starch, release moisture, and add salt flavor.
2. Pat dry with paper towels. Place the sliced potatoes on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray the potatoes with oil OR you can put the sliced potatoes in a bowl, toss them with oil, then place them on parchment paper.
3. Bake in the oven at 200C (400F) until crisp golden brown for about 15 minutes.
4. Remove the brown slices, flip them over if needed, and cook more minutes until crisp golden brown. Keep an eye on them because they will brown up quickly.
5. Evenly sprinkle with salt to finish if needed.

How often do you make french fries at home?! Me? Seldom. But homemade ones are the best! They were all gone in 5 minutes while it took 30 minutes to make... 😅👍

My daughter and I went to a potato digging at her kindergarten and got some fresh potatoes. My darling said "make her favorite French fries". Fresh potatoes are fragrant and delicious! It was a great choice 😋

Japanese French Fries (Umami Salt Flavor)
Difficulty: Easy
Time: 30 min
Number of servings: n/a
Ingredients:
potatoes
deep frying oil
salt
Kombu kelp Dashi powder
Directions:
1. Wash potatoes thoroughly. Remove eyes (sprouts) if necessary. Cut into wedges. Soak in water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch. Pat dry with paper towels.
2. Place potato wedges in a pan. Add cooking oil until potatoes are covered. Turn the heat to medium low and cook for about 15 minutes until you can insert a bamboo stick.
3. Turn the heat to high and cook for about 3 minutes until crunchy outside.
4. Remove from the oil, sprinkle with a few pinches of salt and Kombu kelp Dash powder.

Plump and juicy Maine lobster meat tossed with a touch of homemade mayo piled on to a toasted buttery split-top bun and topped with paprika and scallions. Served by Red Hook Lobster Pound.
A traditional lobster roll is a sandwich filled with lobster meat soaked in butter and served on a steamed hot dog bun or similar roll, so that the opening is on the top rather than on the side. There are variations of this sandwich made in other parts of New England, which may contain diced celery or scallion, and mayonnaise. The sandwich may also contain lettuce, lemon juice, salt and black pepper. Traditional New England restaurants serve lobster rolls with potato chips or french fries on the side. For those residing in Connecticut, a lobster roll served warm is simply called a "lobster roll" while the lobster roll served cold as it is throughout the rest of the northeast region and the world is called a "lobster salad roll".
Lobster rolls in the U.S. are associated with the state of Maine, but are also commonly available at seafood restaurants in the other New England states and on Eastern Long Island, where lobster fishing is common. Lobster rolls prepared in Maine generally have several common characteristics: first, the roll itself is a "New England" or "Frankfurter" roll that is baked slightly differently from a standard hot dog roll, so the sides are flat and can be buttered on the outside and lightly grilled or toasted, and is split on the top instead of the side; second, the lobster meat in the roll is usually served cold, rather than warm or hot; third, there can be a very light spread of mayonnaise inside the bun or tossed with the meat before filling the roll, though usually do not have any other ingredients typical of the "lobster salad" variation in other parts of New England.
