It can be a struggle to “be kind”. It’s a real struggle for me. To be kind, gentle, all that. Hahah im very hard on myself and people and even with a lot of consideration can still end up hurting someone else.
I was a big believer of “tough love”. But a lot of the “tough love” that we were taught growing up, even though probably driven by a sense of love, may actually not have been very loving- where it deeply recognizes our individual humanness and listens to where its at. Kindness needs that. In tough-love -world, that really sounded wishy washy to me! I think that may have been one of the reasons i associated kindness with weakness. But more and more i realize that it takes strength to be kind (with boundaries haha). Wishing u and i lots of strength to be kind in the week ahead 🙂 ♥️
