Use medicine; take potions which can help you; fumigate house, yard, and street; shun persons and places wherever your neighbor does not need your presence or has recovered, and act like a man who wants to help put out the burning city. What else is the epidemic but a fire which instead of consuming wood and straw devours life and body? Y’all know that feeling of nostalgia when you look back at the photos of your army days? That feeling of should have, could have, would have?
It might not feel like such a long time ago (maybe because of ABTM), but mannn, its actually been 11 years since I ORD-ed.🤣
And now looking back, if I could turn back the clock, I wish I could have done a lot of things better. I wish I was more responsible and accountable for the people under my care, and the armskote duties tasked to me. Of course I can't deny the fact that these "mistakes" I made also shaped me to be who I am today. More than anything else (I hate to admit this - MAN EGO), but I wish I knew how to manage the allowance given to me by SAF like how @joshuatwe did with his.
Call him a miser or prudent or whatever, Josh saved a good 50% of his monthly allowance which at the end of the 2 years, accumulated to a fairly decent amount. As a matter of fact, had I known the power of compound interest back then, surely I wouldn't have spent ALL of my allowance on canteen food and partying. At the end of 2 years, I had ZERO savings and shamelessly drew allowance from my parents while other boys used their army allowance during their uni days.
The message I want to put across to you guys (those who are serving or have yet to serve) is, like it or not, you have to finish your 2 years, so why not make the best out of it. Use these 2 years to think carefully about what you would like to pursue in future, and also if you haven't started saving, no better time to start than now. Take this chance to find out how you can grow your money with compound interest (be it through @singlife’s offerings or ask around your circle of friends or read up online!).

Today we have a full upper body workout targeting your arms, back, chest and shoulders! For those lucky enough to have gyms still open to them, this is a perfect workout for you!
Grab a set of light to medium dumbbells to push your body for 8-12 reps. It should feel difficult by the last few reps of each exercise, that's when you know you've chosen the right weight for the exercise. If you don't have any dumbbells, try to find alternatives to use at home.
This is a 45 min - 1 hour workout depending on your rest times and number of sets. Do this 3 times a week along with your other workouts, cardio and strict dieting, to help achieve your fat loss & muscle building goals. If you do this properly, this will help with your body transformation, build a lean and defined upper body in 8-12 weeks!

My school day started out like any other, until my form tutor handed me an envelope and told me "Well done, Mukhtar!" Huh? I was wondering whatever could be in that envelope, but I decided to save it until I got home to open it - whatever it was, it sounded like something worth opening with the rest of the family.
Little did I know that on that same morning, Mrs Mom and Mr Dad had received an email saying that I had gotten a big prize - but what!? Since it was sent in the morning, it meant that they had to wait anxiously all day long - it seemed to just drag on and on! When I got home, everyone was so excited, and, like me, they all wanted to know what was inside that envelope.
This was the moment we were all waiting for; everyone was there, Mrs Mom and Mr Dad, Fatimah, Ali, and @drauntie.uk as well. All of us had butterflies in our stomach as I opened that envelope…to find out that I had been awarded not one, but TWO PRIZES - the Junior Drama Prize and the W.R. Buttle Prize! I was completely filled with happiness, and I was over the moon to have received this great honour - Alhamdulillah! This was beyond anything I could have asked for.
These awards may have been addressed to me, but I know I couldn’t have done it without all those who are responsible for getting me where I am today. I thank Mrs Mom, Mr Dad, Fatimah, Ali, @drauntie.uk and each and every one in the family for their constant support and belief in me. Their unshaken faith in me warms my heart!
I’d also like to give a huge thank you to the teachers and the School for this acknowledgement. I am truly humbled by it - even one prize would have been ever so generous!
And not forgotten, all of you who have been supporting me continuously - thank you from the bottom of my heart!
And of course, I thank Allah for guiding me along the path to this achievement. I pray that He opens up more opportunities for me to reach higher…Aameen ♥️
