從字面上來看，bone 是「骨頭」的意思，pick 是「挑選」的意思，當有人說 have a bone to pick with you , 大家覺得什麼意思呢？當對方講這句話的時候，你覺得他的情緒是開心、生氣，還是沮喪的呢？

這個慣用語是「我要對你雞蛋中挑骨頭」的意思嗎？

其實當你說 I have a bone to pick with you 是一個起手式，就是「#我有一件事（#不滿）#要跟你說」或「#我對你（#某件事）#有意見」的意思！然後，接下來就會陳述不滿或有意見的事！通常用這個慣用語就是「#直接告訴對方做了哪些讓自己不開心或困擾的事」，所以情緒上是有點生氣的，然而，當然還是要看講話者的語氣而定！

go out like a light 是一個在對話或影片中會聽到的慣用語，字面上的意思是「#外出像一道光」, 但真的是這個意思或翻譯嗎？當你的朋友說 John went out like a light, 你可別問說「他去哪兒？發生了什麼事？」 :)

那到底 go out like a light 是什麼意思呢？

其實 go out 是「#燈或火熄滅」的意思，而 like a light 是「#像光一樣」, 形容「#速度跟光一樣快」的意思，所以 go out like a light 就是「很快熄滅」的意思嗎？ 很接近了! 想像一下我們的能量就像「燈或火」，當我們的「能量像燈火一樣很快熄滅」是什麼狀況呢？其實就是「#很快睡著」的意思！ 這個慣用語也可用 be out like a light 來表示!
