＊8/4-8/5 (Fri & Sat) Intersect: Jazz + Classical Music Festival
星期五6pm-10pm；星期六2pm-9pm在Bryant Park將有爵士與古典音樂節，將分別在星期五與星期六表演Billy Childs和Derek Bermel的音樂。週末想舒服得聽場美妙的音樂會就來Bryant Park吧！

＊8/4 (Fri) Sunset on The Hudson concert Series
又到了星期五傍晚在Hudson River Park的Pier 45的Sunset on The Park音樂會。這星期將由Chuck Braman Jazz Band來表演。想去的朋友記得先買點食物到那裡聽爵士看夕陽！

＊8/5 (Sat) Target First Saturdays at Brooklyn Museum
又到了每個月第一個星期六的Target First Saturdays at Brooklyn Museum，美術館將開放至晚上十一點供民眾免費入場參觀。這週末活動和展覽以加勒比海文化為主題，有舞蹈，講座和展覽等多樣有趣活動。是適合全家參與的好活動。

＊8/5 (Sat) 每年夏天紐約活動的重頭戲連續三個星期六的Summer Street這星期六將登場。當天7am-1pm從Brooklyn Bridge前的紐約市政府沿著Lafayette St, 4th Ave, Park Ave一直到E. 72nd都將封街只讓行人與腳踏車通行。整個路線設有多處休息站，每個休息站有許多贊助廠商的活動和免費贈品等。今年Summer Street一個新的活動內容是在E. 71st & Park Avenue的一個Water Park：LG Quadwash，是消暑的好活動。不過預計參與的人會很多，所以最好早上8am以前就去登記才有機會可以玩到。星期六早起出門活動吧！

＊8/5 (Sat) 10th Great Jazz on the Great Hill
星期六下午在中央公園西北邊的Great Hill有第十屆的爵士音樂會，將有三組非常傑出的樂團演出(The Jimmy Heath Big Band with Special Guests; The Allan Harris Band; Matthew Whitaker Trio)。記得帶著鋪在地上的毯子，準備一點輕食，享受一場爵士盛宴吧！

＊8/5 (Sat) 7th Annual History Day at Deno's Wonder Wheel Park and the Coney Island History Project
大家比較熟悉的Coney Island遊樂場是Luna Park，但其實那裡其中一個地標Wonder Wheels是屬於另一個遊樂場Deno's Wonder Wheel Park。這星期六在Coney Island的Deno's Wonder Wheel Park將舉辦第七屆的歷史之旅，除了有walking tour外，如果做1920年代的裝扮，還可以免費搭一次Wonder Wheel。Coney Island遊樂場是美國歷史最久的遊樂之一，很值得去看看。

星期六在DUMBO Empire Store前的碎石攤將有一場放印度教水燈的祈福儀式。有興趣的朋友可以前往觀看。

這週末兩天在Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Musem以及旁邊的Pier 86有太空科學節活動，節目內容十分豐富，大部分在Pier 86上的活動免費，船上活動則必須購買Museum門票。是家長們週末帶小朋友去接觸航太科學的絕佳活動！

星期天是位於LIC的Noguchi Museum的Communiday Day，全天免非入場。有open studio和美術館導覽等活動。

＊8/6 (Sun) Harlem Meer Performance Festival: Reuben Wilson Combo Quartet
星期天在Central Park東北端的Harlem Meer小湖畔有一場爵士音樂會，由Reuben Wilson Combo Quartet擔綱表演。夏日在湖邊聽輕快的爵士樂是一種幸福啊！

星期天下午在Astoria的Socrates Sculpture Park有一場由hip to hip theater演出的莎士比亞劇：亨利四世。在表演前也有30分鐘的workshop可以讓小朋友參加。
