Hi all, first off, I'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who's shared my new song 'Good Things' on their socials, to their loved ones and so on... My deepest gratitude to all of you.
When @thedavidstrange and I finished this song, many many moons ago, I had already decided that I wanted this song to have its own organic flow and just let it rely on the power of sharing, I'd be happy if it was only shared with 5 people. So far, the response on Spotify is reaching 10k soon, within a day of its release. 🙏🏽
The lyric video views may need more help though, I must admit, as the making of the video itself was quite a special experience for me.
My good friend Curly, (@thenameisbon11) and I came up with this vision for the video during one of our late night hangs. We both simultaneously had a rush of excitement of it's simplicity and flow.
So we had an intimate crew of 5. Including myself, Curly and also @yyiwensoup whom I am so grateful for.
On camera, we had @masbro, and assisting us with props were @saimison and @yyiwensoup as they helped move the cloth along with me as I slowly walked. Johor's Sun was out in all its glory that day as well. =)
We worked together with the most patient editor Azrol @monameqa, who probably had to bear my notes, but there wasn't much as there was already synchronicity with all of us. And he did an amazing job, yes? I've yet to personally meet him though, I would give him the biggest air hug when I do! ;)
So many thanks to this wonderful team of young Johorians, who helped me bring this simple vision to life. As a Malaysian, I'm always up and proud to showcase the brilliance of our homegrown talents. And this video, is definitely up there with the few videos of mine I love.
The Chinese translations was done by one of my dearest friends, @kentlee.my who, even in his time of absolute busyness helped me with it, as I wanted it to be understood by mostly everyone. I also would love it if you guys could send the video to your friends and loved ones in Chinese speaking countries, as they've had a rough few months.
I hope this song becomes medicine for your souls and spirits, as it did with mine.
