We named this one Monki (I named her Poopy previously) when my mom rescued her and her siblings they were in really bad shape. Monki couldn’t open her eyes, kept meowing coz she couldn’t see, her face covered in scabs, and her mom was badly injured (we think it’s probably from a dog bite) and she was never to be found again I think she succumbed to her wounds 😢. So we took them in, nursed them to an ‘ok’ state. We decided to send them for deworming and good lord that was the toughest. They couldn’t stop pooping and walk properly. But Monki was loving. She would be exhausted from diarrhea and would still be affectionate towards me (with her poopy butt that’s how she got that name lol) i’d have to shower again after cleaning her up LOL if you have ever taken care of sick cats you would know the smell is 🤢😭!! Here she is today all healthy, happy, and her face is fully recovered. After we rescue kittens we usually give them up for adoption but damn.... this one... I’m not sure if I’m ready to give her up!!

Please adopt instead of shopping for pets. The experience is more rewarding & these rescued cats they’re just so affectionate it’s as if they know you really took care of them ❤️

→「大丈夫です」

誰かに心配されたり、気に掛けてもらったりした時に 「大丈夫ですよ」 と相手を安心させる一言としての使い方です。例えば、サイクリング中に転んで「Are you ok?（大丈夫ですか？）」と声を掛けられた時に、「I'm fine.（大丈夫です）」と答えます。なお、尋ねる側の人がfineを使うと違和感があるのでokを使いましょう。
　
＜例文＞
　
〜会話例1〜

A: You don't look good. Are you ok?
（顔色が悪いですよ。大丈夫ですか？）

B: I'm fine. I'm just a little tired.
（大丈夫です。ちょっと疲れているだけです。）
　
〜会話例2〜

A: What if he gets on the wrong train? He can't even read Japanese.
（彼が間違って違う電車に乗ったらどうしよう。日本語も読めないし。）

B: He'll be fine. He's traveled to a lot of countries. I'm sure he'll figure it out.

→「結構です」

相手の申し出や依頼、勧めなどを断る時に使う一言です。例えば、レストランの店員に「ビールをもう一杯いかがですか？」と聞かれた時に「No, I'm fine.（いえ、結構です）」 という具合に使います。「I'm fine」の一言だけでも「結構です」を意味しますが、「No thanks. I'm fine」と言った方が、より丁寧な返答の仕方になります。

〜会話例1〜

A: Would you guys like to see the dessert menu?
（デザートメニューは見られますか？）

B: No thanks. We're fine. Can we get the check, please?
（いえ、結構です。お勘定をお願いします。）

3) That's fine (with me)
→「それで大丈夫です」

相手が提案したことに対して 「それでいいですよ」や 「それで大丈夫ですよ」 を意味する表現です。例えば、友達に約束の時間を1時間遅らせてもいいかと聞かれた時に「Yeah, that's fine.（ええ、大丈夫ですよ）」と返事をします。「That's fine with me.」と言う人もいますが、どちらでも意味は同じです。
　
✔注意しなければならないのが、前述した通り、状況によっては相手の申し出を断る意味にもなるので、会話の流れでしっかり使い分けする必要があります。基本的には、提案を受け入れるときには 「Yes, that's fine.」、断るときには 「No that's fine.」 と言えば問題ありません。

A: Can we reschedule the meeting to tomorrow?
（明日にミテーィングを変更してもよろしいでしょうか？）

不満や愚痴ばかりをこぼしたりする人や、こちらの提案やアドバイスを全く聞かない人に対して 「もういいよ！」や「わかったよ！」 と怒っている感情やうんざりしている気持ちを示す場合の表現です。「Fine then.」 という表現も同じ意味合いで使われます。

A: It's my friends birthday tonight and I want to hang out with him.
（今夜は友達の誕生日だから彼と一緒に遊びに行きたいんだ。）

以前、大阪出身の友達と遊んでいる時に「しゃ〜なしやで〜」って英語で何と言うのか聞かれた事があるのですが、その言葉にはどのようなニュアンスがあるのかを説明してもらったうえで（大阪人が言う「しゃ〜なしやで〜」は、別に嫌とも思っていないのに、わざと恩義せがましく相手の要望を受け入れる一種の冗談とのこと）、Fineを面倒くさそうに言うのが最適と思い、そう教えた経験を思い出したので一応シェアーしておこうと思います。(笑)

A: Can you pick me up tomorrow?
（明日、迎えに来てくれへん？）

B: Fine.
（しゃーなしやでー）

While in school, Mae got bitten twice by an unidentified insect. The bites swelled up, and one of them turned into a big blister. Then, redness started spreading around her leg. We brought her to see a pediatrician this morning and she was diagnosed as having “cellulitis” due to the insect bite, and had to be admitted to hospital. 😢

We are thankful that Mae is still cheerful and positive even though she is warded in hospital and has an IV catheter in her left hand to be given antibiotics with. 😔

Please pray that she is healed and that the medical team is filled with God’s wisdom and anointing to provide her with the best care. We believe that the Lord will restore her health and give her perfect immunity to the insect toxins.

Thankfully, Mae is covered by accident and hospitalization insurance plans, so we don’t have to come up with any cash at all. And they serve meals many times a day: breakfast, lunch, tea break, dinner and supper. Feeling so thankful and blessed that we are covered—really gives a peace of mind. This is not the staycation anyone would ask for, but I’m sure God has good plans for us and no devil can stop 2021 from being an amazing year for us! 🙌

One Pot Sesame Oil Chicken Rice
Ingredients:
Serves 6 pax

60ml (2 fl oz) sesame oil
1 thumb-size young ginger (sliced thinly)
460g (16.2 oz or 1 lb) chicken thigh meat (cut into bite sizes)
2 tablespoons Chinese white rice wine (optional)
5 cloves garlic (sliced thinly)
A few dashes of white pepper
3 cups rice (use a rice cup to measure or a 210ml (7.1 fl oz) cup to measure)
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 teaspoon chicken stock powder (You can use chicken stock to replace water)
1.5 tablespoons premium dark soy sauce
3 cups water (use a rice cup to measure or a 210ml (7.1 fl oz) cup to measure)
2 stalks spring onion (cut into finger length)
