Tokyo Yakitori, the new Japanese restaurant in town that located not far from their sister restaurant Kirishima at Cititel. Comparatively, Tokyo Yakitori offers Japanese delights in much wallet friendly price tag. The shop's design combining restaurant and bar, offering broad selection of Sake to complement with skewers. We have tried their Ramen Set but skewer somehow stand out more.

Tokyo Yakitori is a new Japanese restaurant in town, sister restaurant to one of the oldest Japanese joints in Penang- Kirishima Japanese Restaurant (at Cititel Penang) but both are geographically near to each other. Though Tokyo Yakitori is just a few shops away from Kirishima, both are targeting different segments- Kirishima's offering is more superior in terms of ingredients and price points while Tokyo Yakitori is more wallet-friendly. Notwithstanding, Tokyo Yakitori still offers decent Japanese delights- from the standard Japanese appetizers to Yakitori (Japanese Skewers) to Sushi, Ramen and Bento Sets. In the evening, the place is turned into a restaurant cum bar that offers a vast selection of Japanese Sake to pair over their range of Skewers. Nevertheless, the place is still suitable for all age-range of diners and that includes both teetotalers and drinkers. Tokyo Yakitori can be found at the T-junction of Sri Bahari Road and Penang Road (next to Kheng Pin Cafe).
