有些女生在生理期前夕和行經期間特別餓，尤其偏好吃澱粉質重及甜膩的食物，據知胃口變大與女性排卵期間的雌激素等荷爾蒙變化有關，血糖不穩定以致偏愛吃甜食，加上月經來臨令人感到疲憊，總想靠美食去慰藉一下自己，但經期過後卻充滿罪疚感，如果你正面對這個煩惱，不妨試試以下對應方法：

．少食多餐
將一日3餐的份量變成一日5-6餐，盡量保持總食量不變，滿足口慾之餘，又不會過度進食。

．多吃蔬菜粗糧
選擇多吃蔬菜和粗糧，例如番薯、芋頭、燕麥、藜麥等，有助穩定血糖水平，提升飽足感。

．自製低糖糖水
怕路過甜品店忍不住買高糖高脂的蛋糕、甜品、朱古力，不如自製糖水滿足口癮，可自行調節甜度。

Before your menstruation begins, you may experience an increase in appetite. Which of the follow do you crave?

Some women experience an increase in appetite just before their period, and they would crave for food that are high-carb and sweet. This sense of hunger is due to the estrogen spike during ovulation. The irregular blood sugar levels and menstrual fatigue can lead us to eat sweet delicacies as comfort food. Yet, the sense of guilt will haunt us after our period. If this troubles you, consider the following approach:

．Have more meals but in a smaller portions
Instead of having 3 meals, eat 5-6 meals a day, but maintain the total servings. By doing so, you would not overeat and at the time, still get to satisfy your appetite.

．Eat more vegetables and coarse grains
Eat more vegetables and coarse grains like potato, yam, cereal, and quinoa as they can help stabilize your blood sugar levels and keep you full.

．Make your own low-carb sweet soup
If you cannot resist buying cake, dessert, and chocolate that are high in carbohydrates, make your own sweet soup to satisfy your cravings. More importantly, you can adjust the sweetness to your taste accordingly.
