If you like to enjoy your Dim Sum dishes conveniently at home, make your way to Farlim to check out the newly opened Mr Bao Penang 槟城包子佬, a new spot that sells home-made Dim Sum like Bao, Siew Mai (and various Dumplings), Fish Balls, Loh Mai Kai (Steamed Glutinous Rice with Chicken) etc. Accordingly, they use their own recipe of flour mixture which the texture can be a little different from others (unfortunately my untrained palate could not differentiate at this point). Interestingly, there are many uncommon flavors to choose from. While the prices are on the higher side, it's fun to try different flavors.

食材份量 Ingredients
餃子皮300克 300g ready made dumpling skin
蟹味菇150克 150g Beech mushroom
雞髀菇120克 120g King trumpet mushroom
六條粟米 6 Baby corn
120克韓國泡菜 120g Kimchi
40克毛豆仁 40g Broadbean
一件普寧豆腐(布包豆腐也可以)1 portion of Pu Ning Tofu/firm tofu
四粒蒜蓉(切碎) 4 garlic cloves (diced)
調味料: Marinade:
1½茶匙蠔油 1.5 tsp Oyster sauce
一湯匙韓國泡菜汁 1 TBS Kimchi sauce
半茶匙麻油 1/2 tsp sesame oil
半茶匙胡椒碎 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
半茶匙糖 1/2 tsp sugar
一茶匙生粉+2湯匙水 1 tsp potato starch + 2 TBS water
煎餃子麵粉水: Flour water mix:
一湯匙普通麵粉 1 TBS plain flour
兩茶匙白醋 2 tsp white vinegar
加一碗水,攪勻 1 bowl of water (mix together)
餃子醬汁: Dumpling dipping sauce:
三湯匙鎮江醋 3 TBS Zhengjiang vinegar
半茶匙生抽 1/2 tsp soya sauce
一茶匙糖 1 tsp sugar
半茶匙麻油 1/2 sesame oil
四片薑(切絲) 4 ginger slices (cut into thing strips)
