Being bi-lingual or tri-lingual is a big plus point for anyone, and that's why i always push for my kids to learn and master different languages to connect with people of different culture and background, giving them more opportunities in life.
My kids are fluent in Malay, they are currently improving their English with Novakid and at the same time learning French in school.

HÃY THỬ TRẢ LỜI CÂU HỎI SPEAKING PART 2 - DESCRIBE YOUR FUTURE JOB NÀO!
>> Download bản PDF ở đây bạn nhé: https://m.me/286585161523028?ref=Describefuturejob
--------------------------------
Describe a job you’d like to do in the future.
You should say:
- what it is
- what you will need to do
- how demanding it is
- why you are interested in this job.
When I read the cue card, the first thing springing to mind was to become an interpreter.
An interpreter is someone who has acquired an oral fluency in another language apart from his mother tongue. His mission is to convert spoken language from one language to another to help people from different countries communicate with one another.
It entails listening to, understanding and memorising content in the source language, then reproducing it in the target language. Sometimes, an interpreter has to cope with stress and take his self-control when dealing with difficult speakers. Not everyone speaks with precision and clarity and of course, accents can be tricky to discern. Interpreters, therefore, need to keep their cool and remain relaxed, even in seemingly tough situations. I think the job would be very technically demanding and challenging, but very exhilarating to do.
The reason I have a particular liking for this job is that I think I have developed essential skills to do it well. I study the English language at university and to be specific, my major is translation and interpreting. Despite the fact that I have yet to be fluent in English, I think I will be in the next few years as I keep practicing the language and improving myself in other fields to broaden my horizons. On top of that, it may give me opportunities to travel or to work in a multi-national company where I will meet new people from all over the world, and learn about their cultures and experiences.

As the COVID-19 epidemic has made an impact on the world, Taiwan's assistance to the international community through donations of medical supplies and sharing of experiences in epidemic control and prevention have been well received by various nations and communities. By demonstrating its medical knowledge and competence, Taiwan is gradually showing its influence in the international community.
This time, SET specially invited Mr. Yi-Chun Lo, Deputy Director-General of Taiwan CDC, and Ms. Wen-Jane Tu, Director of BAPHIQ, Council of Agriculture, to share their experiences of international participation. Mr. Yi-Chun Lo shared his experiences in medical aid in Malawi, Africa, and how he was able to express himself in English and get closer to the local people there.
Director Tu shared how she was able to negotiate internationally with fluent English and use precise wording in documents to get Taiwan out of a 24-year-long FMD disease zone.
The 2030 Bilingual Nation Policy, with the collaborative efforts of various ministries and commissions, will enable professional ability and English language ability to complement each other. This will be achieved through the establishment of an English learning environment and the cultivation of the English language ability of our nationals.
The policy will empower our nation's talent and guide them to the international stage where the world will recognize Taiwan through its soft power of professionalism.

Years ago we tested Jun on his ability to tell the difference between "L" and "R" sounds, which was rather difficult for him! The Japanese language only has the "R" sound, which actually ends up somewhere in between an American English "R" and "L". This makes differentiating "R's" and "L's" one of the most difficult parts of learning English for a native Japanese speaker. Years ago, even sounding nearly fluent in English, it was quite difficult for Jun! But has he gotten better at it since??? MAYBE! Time for a test!
